If you take an overdose of insulin, you will go into insulin shock. If uncorrected, this leads to convulsions, coma and death, in that order.

It depends on what your base blood glucose levels are. If they are normal and you are a non diabetic then 15 units of insulin for instance will have a gradual affect on your body. You would expect to start feeling very weak and disorientated leading to profuse sweating and pallor. The whole experience could result in insulin coma and eventual death, however, depending on the amount of overdose, the body could gradually recover spontaneously.

Sometimes a prescription calls for a person to take a lot of insulin. If you are measuring your glucose levels and you require a lot of insulin, then you should use it according to your doctors instructions, In this situation, it is good for you...some people require large doses, HOWEVER, taking a lot of insulin when you are not using it according to your glucose levels and doctors instructions can kill you.

Depends if u r not a diabetic It would take a crap load of insulin to get to that point of coma cause ur body will compensate, U'll feel like crap until u can eat something "SUGAR" but u would be OK. now if u are a diabetic ur body can not compensate and u would go into a coma

Your blood sugar can drop dangerously and you could go into a coma and die.
If you're a diabetic you should be monitoring your blood sugar and basing your dosage of insulin on your blood sugar level and your carb intake for each meal. I sure hope you're doing this.
