Yes, in fact, it is best if you get Gardasil before you become sexually active.

By "sexually active," I also mean before you've had ANY sexual contact including oral sex, manual sex (handjobs, fingering) and especially dry humping.

Vaccines (like Gardasil) are only effective if you administer them BEFORE the person gets exposed to the germ. That's why it's best to give Gardasil to women who have not yet had any sexual contact.

Of course, if you have had any sexual contact, Gardasil may still offer protection since it's rare for a woman to have come in contact with all of the HPV strains that Gardasil protects against. And if she has ... well, maybe she needs to rethink some of her lifestyle choices.

ADDEDNDUM FOR HUSTLA: Whoa!!! NO NO NO, you CANNOT get a sexually transmitted disease from a toilet. Stop perpetuating this myth!!!

Yes, a sexually active women (even virgins) should take Gardasil. Gardasil helps prevent HPV which is the leading cause of cervical cancer in women. You don't have to be sexually active to get cervical cancer ( it is also hereditary ) or just appears sometimes due to a cyst. HPV can be spread without sex for example, sitting on a public toilet can pass many STD's even HPV.

Gardasil is a preventative vaccinattion. PREVENTATIVE. That means you get the vaccine so you do not get cervucal cancer. The vaccine blocks the start of cancer it does not cure cancer once you get it

Virginty has to do with sexaul actvity and nothing to do with getting cancer. You can be a virgin and still die of cancer

Cervical cancer happens beacuse you are born female.

Take the shot.

This is the CDCs Vaccine Information Statement (VIS) regarding Gardasil. This should give you the information you need to make an informed decision about receiving the vaccine. Good question!

Yes.

Nothing to be ashamed about being a virgin at 24. You should be proud. Kudos to you for not rushing into anything and becoming a pregnant teen or worse.
I was a virgin until age 32. My choice.
