This is strange. This morning, my right arm started to itch. Within a few minutes, a hive formed where the itch was. Then my elbow on the same arm started to itch and within a few minutes (after scratching).. a hive formed there too.

My arm was not itching this morning. I haven't washed with anything unusual, and it's only affecting my right arm. Whenever clothing touches it, it is painful.

Now the hives are turning into blisters, which are quite painful.

I've tried putting Benadryl creme on it, which works. But within a few hours, the pain and itching return.

Has anyone ever had this happen? A hive to a blister after a few hours?

Is there anything that I can do other than what I am doing? This itching and pain are driving me nuts!!!

I have sensitive skin, the best thing to do is not scratch because then it goees under your nails and you can spread whatever it is, if it is blistering, see a doctor, you may need some kind of medication. I have had swelling before, usually ice helps too to ease the itching and swelling.

Maybe Shingles? Go to a Dr to diagnose it and may be able to perscribe a creme (apparently it's capsicome (sp?) basically pepper spray) that numbs the nerves in the area so it isn't too painful...oh yeah...place a warm compress on it until you see a doc....that'll help alleviate the pain.

YES I have beetno the doctors and told it was hives. You need to see a doctor and check it out with an allergy specialist. Get to the chemist and they will give you over the counter cream. I sympathise. Let us know how it goes.
