A person's foot starts to turn in then their knee becomes very painful and feels as though it wants to give way. If the person bends the knee like when sitting on your leg in a chair, or when on hands and knees in the floor then goes to stand up--the knee doesn't straighten completely without hurting really really bad. What is causing this??? What kind of treatments can this person expect when they go to the doctor??

Hi, im 15 years old right now. I am 5'3" and my weight is 136 pounds. I have alot of fat on my belly and upper chest. But my arms are pretty skinny. Lately ive been having a lot of strange problems. I've been getting arthritis all over, i have bright yellow spots on my tounge and its also cracked, i have really pale skin with big dark circles under my eyes, and my skin doesnt seem to heal as well as it used to from acne and minor cuts and things.

Her body is deterating very quickly.Liver has almost stoped working(liver cancer).She is not making sense when she is talking(when she is awake only when I arose her).Reps are about 12-16 per min. BP well is was pretty good this after noon when hospice came in, it was 140/80.When she drinks water she is choking very badly.SHOULD I GIVE HER WATER?? She just chokes on it really bad but she is very thirsty.I DO NOT want deprive her of water.PLS HELP

I've been wearing contacts for 2 months now and I've been wondering: why do I have to change my contacts every 2 weeks and take them out at night while others can wear the same pair for a month and sleep with them in? Also: why is it important to change the lens cases that you put the contacts in?

Can you buy JUST the lens cases, also? or do they only come with the solution?

I have been told by nurses and 3 doctors, it's cellulitus. A carwreck damaged my right side, now in a wheelchair. The knee down is bright red, looks burned, gets welts, if cut shaving, it just keeps draining clear stuff, for days. I get big blisters. I take LASIX everyday, and there is noway to elevate that leg. And if it's even a little warm, it swells. Sure hope someone can help me. I have give up on the doctors here in this town.

My son has never smoked, drinked or did drugs. Over the years of going to the doctor yearly, no high levels of anything. We also have no history of anything that could cause this on either side of the family. His arm just swelled up one day, I rushed him to the hospital, they did a sonogram and found a blood clot, a CT scan later that night showed it had moved from his arm to his chest. He is now on a blood thinner and his protime level is up to 2.8. The doctors and we are baffled. I hate to see my son like this, he is 6'2" and 165lbs. He was in good shape until this happened, he is now in pain and his arm can barely be moved. Can anyone help, or has anyone been there?

For about 2 or 3 days I have had swollen gums and a soft bump in the back on my mouth next to two teeth that have cavities. I'm pregnant, and don't have dental insurance. Does anyone know if I should just try and "pop" the bump myself? It's very painful, and it's keeping me from eating.

I used to be in good shape when I did gymnastics and dance classes. In high school I played tennis. Now I'm in college, haven't exercised at all, and am totally out of shape now! I don't really like doing exercise, it was more fun when it was gymnastics and dance. But I'd like to start running, who knows, maybe the endorphins will make me like it. However, I can't even run a mile now without having to walk and being totally out of breath. How can I ease back into exercise and increase my endurance? What other tips do you have to get into shape?

About 8 months ago I went to my dentist because my crown was loose. He said there was decay and he drilled it off and gave me a brand new crown a week or so later, since he said he had to drill so deep he thought there was a possibility I needed to get a root canal done on the tooth. A little bit later a small pimple like thing developed directly under the tooth so I went back and he said I needed to get a root canal done (no pain.) Anyways since that time I have moved and just in general have been busy. Today I called up another dentist (closer to me) and said I needed a root canal. She took some x-rays and said that there was decay under the crown and that I would need a new crown along with a root canal. I explained the crown was about a year old but she said it didnt matter. Anyways that didnt really sit well with me so I told her I would think about it. But is this possible? The crown isnt loose or anything so how could there be more decay. Is this possible?
