Go to the doctor. That is the only way you will know for sure what it is.

I had that too, once, and I freaked out soooo much. I'd never even had sex when it happened. Went to the doctor, spent a whole lot of money, and found out it was an ingrown hair!! The doctor said to sit in a bath of water about as hot as I can stand it, to open up the pore so that the hair can work it's way out. Sound gross, I know, but such is life. Anyway, I'll bet that's what you have too, since herpes comes in clusters and warts are hard and knobby. I looked up so much stuff on it, and read all about different diseases, I just knew I had something. But I didn't!! I feel sure you don't either!! Do the bath thing, and wait a few days. Bet it'll go away!

Yes, it could be a boil or an infected hair, but it sounds like herpes. I work in the lab, and collect specimens from herpes patients a lot. Herpes DOES usually only involve ONE sore. I have seen it a million times! Also, even if you go to the doctor and he/she says it is an infected hair- be wary. I have also seen cases where people were misdiagnosed like this!!! If they do say it is an infected hair, and it reoccurs- please go to a different doctor!!! You should see a doctor as soon as possible because to actually do the test, we need to swab the lesion when it is full blown. Not just starting, or going away- when it is in full swing. Such things could cause the misdiagnosis of the "infected hair". Wish you the best. As for your question- there are medications to control the symptoms (outbreaks, transmission to partner) but they do not completely prevent transmission. Herpes is not curable (yet) but there is a vaccine now in some states and I suggest if you are diagnosed as negative, you get it soon!

You may have something called vaginitis because it can come in the form of irritating sores on the labia, but genital warts are common, but herpes is common as well. You need to go see a gynecologist for them to do a vaginal exam and a pap smear so they can rule out anything, but you also need to start practicing safe sex meaning use a condom. You're too young to be having gynecological problems. Most STDs are treated with antibiotics, but you have to be aware that they also cause other infections to form because this stuff will kill your body's good bacteria.

IF you are sexual active, it could very well be herpes or even a syphilis sore, however syphilis is usually painless.

It may be just something that popped up like a pimple or such.

I would recommend that: You go to a doctor and get checked. Do NOT have sex with anyone until you find out one way or the other.

There are medicines for herpes, but IF you have herpes, you have it for life.

Don't worry about it.......get it checked FAST!!! For your own mental health (from worrying) and others protection.
Good luck. Pops

There are two types of herpes simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both virus types can cause sores around the mouth (herpes labialis) and on the genitals (genital herpes). Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).
Cold sores sometimes called fever blisters, are groups of small blisters on the lip and around the mouth. The skin around the blisters is often red, swollen, and sore. The blisters may break open, leak a clear fluid, and then scab over after a few days. They usually heal in several days to 2 weeks.
The herpes simplex virus usually enters the body through a break in the skin around or inside the mouth. It is usually spread when a person touches a cold sore or touches infected fluid—such as from sharing eating utensils or razors, kissing an infected person, or touching that person's saliva. A parent who has a cold sore often spreads the infection to his or her child in this way. Cold sores can also be spread to other areas of the body.
Luckly there is a cure for herpes https://tr.im/c57e5

Maybe it's a boil. My friend gets them on her labia as well, (The things friends talk about! LOL!) She got relief by sitting in a tub with the hottest water she could stand. It'll bring it to a head. Once you can 'pop' it, you'll get relief. Don't use a pin or anything, though, it could get infected. Maybe try a reeeeeeally warm washcloth, hold it on there until you need to warm the washcloth up again. It may take a few days to bring it to a head. Call a gyne, they can help you. If you don't have one, y ou need to get one, espically if you're sexually active. Good luck, honey. xoxoxo

Be careful not to diagnose yourself before you go to a doctor. Wait for an answer from a pro. Just tell him/her everything about it and be as detailed and open as possible.
