Sounds like you're preparing for a kitchen disaster this Thanksgiving. If grease or boiling water, you are probably near cold water - like tap or faucet water. DRENCH the burn area in cold water - hold it under the faucet, or the open end of a hose. - DON'T spray it! Just flood it - and do this for a few minutes - not seconds.

Get it under there immediately to stop the burn from penetrating through the skin any more than it has. Don't just cool the surface.

1st or second degree - gently pat dry. Third degree - top surface of skin is gone - seek medical help. If it's an area larger than your hand, or if it's on the face or genitals - call 911. Seriously.

Otherwise, go IMMEDIATELY to the ER or a clinic.

Well the treatment really depends on the degree of the burn if the skin were you were burned is an open sore go to the hospital now!!!But if it just red and blistered don't put anything on the burn at all. No salves creams or anything it will only make it worse. Just let it be exposed to the open air and heal at it own accord. For more info chech webmd.com

Keep the area clean. Vitamin E oil and aloe are very helpful in healing burns. Watch the burns very closely. If you appear to be getting an infection, get medical attention immediately. Treatment of theburn depends on how severe it is. Please consider seeing a doctor if your are not sure how bad it is.

Keep it moist and clean until it heals. Cool salve such as benadryl or Vaseline until it heals over.
