My mom just had a stroke and is making a good recovery. I don't live at home.

There is a danger it may happen again.

What's the best way of dealing with the fact she lives alone?

I have been thinking that organized activities are one way...phone calls another. What else?

Hi , I am very interested in a career in dental laboratory work. How and where did you get your training? How do I find a school or college that has this degree/training ? How long was the training ? What is the job like? How much can I expect to earn ? Are jobs plentiful? What are the general hours days like? Any chance for advancement? Is it rewarding work ? Do you have to be artist or mechanically inclined ?I live in the NY metro area .

well i have been having regular periods for the passed 3 monthst but im still consearn of pregnancy cause me and my b/f had sex like 3 monthst ago thats why i waz saying that i had regular periods i just wanted to know wen is the best time to take a test before ure period or after??????

I had a blood test done and was told by the DR that I have a pretty low level of B12. I was given a prescription supplement to fix this but was wondering if there is anything else I should be aware of. Thx!

I want a partial hysterectomy (uterus only) but my doctor is recommended that i get everything taken out and put me on HRT. I think this is defeating the purpose since i have had adverse effects from being on the pill. Has anyone had a complete done and taken HRT and have had any side effects? Has anyone just had a partial to assist with their endometriosis without the HRT? Are there any studies linking HRT with cancer or other diseases? Serious answers only from people who have had the procedure...no opinions please or inane comments about my disease or decision. (i already know a hysterectomy isnt a cure for endometriosis)

I have a rare immune disorder called cyclic neutropenia (it's genetic and not contagious) where a particular sort of blood cell (neutrophil) just doesn't get made. Also the occasional bout of anemia goes with it. Anyone know of anything that can boost white cell production?

I had lab tests for celiac disease 3 years ago. My GI doc said I don't have it. But the IGG antibody test was 22, which is "weak positive," though the tTGA-IGA and Gliadin IGA were normal. I tried a gluten-free diet for several weeks, which was a pain in the neck and didn't make me feel better (if I recall correctly), so I abandoned it, especially since my doc was sure I don't have it. Well, I'm tired of the diarrhea and abdominal pain, and now I'm underweight and keep losing weight. Should I get retested?

Whenever I have several (well, lots) of alcoholic drinks, everything is okay untill I get into bed and lie down. I get this horrible feeling as if the bed is going along a rollercoaster, ups and downs etc...and it usually results in me being sick....

Okay, avoiding the obvious answer which is not to drink in excess...any ideas on how to combat the general swaying??
