Yes they have to see how bad it is if it is a yeast infection but urinary tract is just peeing in a cup for them.. Just be thankful they can give you medicine for it and it can take care of the problem. Good luck

For a yeast infection which is vaginal, yes they do, they have to take a swab and send it to the lab to determine that is in fact what type of infection you have. For a bladder infection, not usually, because you will give a urine sample in a cup and they send that to the lab.

I think you should have it checked if it last more then two weeks and especially if you have used Monistat or other yeast infection creams.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Regardless a female nurse or female assistant of some form has to be present during any exam of a female patient's genitals and possibly also during breast exams.

No. You can go on itching and scratching. Get the proper medicine go to the doctor. Your 's is not the first the doctor saw. At least you hope it isn't.

not really, for a UTI they can detect in the urine, and yeast as well.
