Health - 1 November 2006

Hi. I have a lump. Its under the skin and located between my labia and right leg, in the crease area. Its completely under the skin,no discoloration to the skin. Its about an inch long and 1/3 inch wide. Its painfull sometimes when sitting, really painfull if I touch it the wrong way, but most of the time I don't feel it at all. Its been there for a few weeks now.. goes from smaller to larger and less sensitive to more at will. I know alot of answers are going to be go to the doc, but I just got laid off and I don't have insurance. So I'm looking for any one who might have dealt with the same thing so they can give me the heads up. I will go to the doc if its potentially something really bad, but until then I cant spare the money.

In addition--or maybe just a coincidence.. My boyfriend had a blood clot in his shaft recently.. almost feels the same as mine but obviously in different areas. Does anyone think these are related? We are very sexual (5-6x/week), can be cause maybe?

i liked this guy, his name is alex and i flirted with him on myspace and all this stuff, and in a way i asked him out and he was like sorry i dont really think your that pretty and that really hurt me, cause everyone says im pretty and im not trying to be like omg im ugly im going to kill myself but like i dont know what to do. and on the other hand i kinda like this other guy, his name is dan. we went out to starbucks and stuff it wasa pretty bad date but ok, ( by the way both of these guys are a grade older then me and know each other) casue like wehn im around dan im just kidna like ok whatever, i kinda like you, but wheni see alex like in the halls ( i dont actualy go upto him and talk) my heart is like omg he is so hot, but he called me ugly, and i have these weird wasy of TRYING to get alexs atention and i just cant helo myself, i need someother ways to get his atention rather then screeming or jumping on a locker

I had a D&C a few months back, it was my second one in two years. I've been on the Depo Shot for almost 5 years. I didn't have any kind of period until after my last D&C. My gynecologist said that a little bleeding is to be expected but it should stop now that I am back on the Depo Shot. I receive the shot every 10 weeks. Last month I had my period the whole month long. I'm bleeding steady and heavy by times and it makes me feel tired and weak and irritable and I have a lot of cramping in my sides and private areas. Today I saw my gynecologist's nurse for my Depo shot and I told her about it. She told me that I have to take it easy for the next couple of days. My doctor is out of town and won't be back until this Monday.

How common is it for a woman to experience their periods after a D&C? All the women in my family has had D&C's and their periods stopped. Besides anemia, what else can I expect to happen to me? Serious answers only please.

I'm not having problems at home or at school,but my mind just feels so over- worked and stressed out.My body has also been feeling weak,sore,and insanely uncomfortable/awkward.Recently everything feels so wrong and "sharp".Every noise seems to be sounds like breaking glass.I am starting to get mild head aches,and my acid reflux is coming back.I am 14,if that helps at all.Any ideas what is wrong and what I can do to make this stop?

What would be "required" if one wanted to check themselves into a hospital in order to help with depression and other feelings? How "bad" would one have to be in order to go in? Like, say if I told my parents that I think I'd like to be put into a hospital because therapy isn't working, antidepressants aren't helping, and even though they've helped ease things a little, all of the bad thoughts and feelings are still there... would it be a foolish decision of me to actually *want* to go in for in-patient treatment? Is it something one can choose to do?

I wish I could elaborate, but I don't want this question to be deleted. If you can help with any of the questions, I'd greatly appreciate it. You can even email me if you want. I just need some opinions.

She's been acting different lately, she claims that people eye r@pe her (say a man walks by her, she will honestly cry rape) and she thinks that every man in the world wants her, she goes around talking about her underwear (out loud) and complains that shes fat because shes "only" a size 4...is she suffering from something? i am very concerned, and yes i am very serious.

sometimes when I'm floating in between light and heavy sleep or just between being awake and falling asleep I will literally feel myself being grabbed and sunken in my bed and I go into strong seizures and halluncinate very badly. The hallucinations range from sounds of insane laughter to the feeling of a small monkey crawling on my head, and visions of swirling color patters like the sun all tie-died. I have to use all my energy to release myself from this state and afterward I feel very "used up" like..drained...and confused.

What's that all about?

I just recently had a total abdominal hysterectomy 3 weeks ago, with one ovary removed as well. Everywhere I look online it seems that I see nothing but horror stories or depressing stories regarding the recovery. I have Polycycstic Ovarian Syndrome and Endotremisiosis and was miserable before my surgery. Since having the surgery I feel like I have been given a new lease on life! I feel great!

The first week after surgery was murder, but I was off my pain killers one week after the surgery (and my pain tolerance is like negative 20!). By two weeks after the surgery I was back to my normal self - walking upright, walking normal, no pains! I am still completely following my doctor's orders by not bending, lifting, cleaning, etc. I'm the poster child for following orders! :) But I feel great! I'm walking alot and now after 3 weeks I don't even feel like I've had surgery!

Are there any others out there with great recovery stories? Let's share the joy for others!

Does anyone have any idea how many calories are burned at a standard/slow pace using a mini-exercise bike?

Does it burn the same amount of calories as a regular exercise bike? I would think not, but hoped someone would know.
