Hi. I have a lump. Its under the skin and located between my labia and right leg, in the crease area. Its completely under the skin,no discoloration to the skin. Its about an inch long and 1/3 inch wide. Its painfull sometimes when sitting, really painfull if I touch it the wrong way, but most of the time I don't feel it at all. Its been there for a few weeks now.. goes from smaller to larger and less sensitive to more at will. I know alot of answers are going to be go to the doc, but I just got laid off and I don't have insurance. So I'm looking for any one who might have dealt with the same thing so they can give me the heads up. I will go to the doc if its potentially something really bad, but until then I cant spare the money.
In addition--or maybe just a coincidence.. My boyfriend had a blood clot in his shaft recently.. almost feels the same as mine but obviously in different areas. Does anyone think these are related? We are very sexual (5-6x/week), can be cause maybe?

The answer from Purple is a good one ! - I had something similar years ago - after extensive tests it was nothing to do with a venerial disease - but diagnosed as a swollen lymph gland - the condition was called LGV or Lymphogranuloma Venereum - possible cause are indeed slight infections or as I like to beleive in my case "over-energetic sex" ( something that's long gone ! )

Although that hasn't happened to me, I would like to offer some counsel.
They COULD be related. It could be something like a blocked duct, or a boil. Is there a discharge or swelling in the area? Fever? Be on the lookout for symptoms, even if they seem unrelated. It could indicate an infection.
Although you just got laid off, you still should get that looked at. Do you have COBRA insurance from your last job? If you're not sure, I would contact your previous employer or someone in their benefits department.
If the suggestion is not a viable option, I would suggest going to a Planned Parenthood clinic and having a GYN look at it. They may be able to help you on a sliding scale (based on your finances).

sounds like you have a lymp node that is swelling.Swollen glands commonly develop when the body fights infections from colds, insect bites, or small cuts. More serious infections may cause the glands to enlarge and become firm, hard, or tender. Examples of such infections include:

go to the doctor..it sounds like a carbuncle or clot...do not mash the area as this can spread it and then you will be in pain...if its just a minor cyst you can soak in a warm epsom salt bath and help bring it to the surface,,,has nothing to do with you partner

If your boyfriend ever cheated on you you might need to get tested. Sounds to me like it could be one of two things. It could be either genital warts or just a boil. Sounds like a boil if it moves like theirs puss in it and it hurts when u sit go to the doctor and let them drain it. It might just be a boil.
