I am going to have a mammogram done on Monday and someone (not a medical professional) told me that you can't smoke for 48 hours before the mammogram, but no one at the doctors office mentioned this, is it true?

ok, I don't have enough money to pay for a counselor or anything like that.
my dad is in denial just simply doesn't want to get better. my mother has no guts or money herself...so she's not much help anyway.

should i go to support groups? if so i'll be the only one from my family going.
and then are the support really even worth going?

My daughter told me that today when she came home from school, she was sitting watching tv, then all of a sudden her heart started beating so fast that her friend who was sitting next to her could hear it, and then it just stopped beating fast suddenly and went back to normal. She said the whole thing was under 2 minutes. I asked her if this was some type of anxiety attack but she said she wasn't tense or anything. What is going on and should I be concerned?
PS-She's not overweight, or unhealthy and she hasn't had any heart problems or family history of heart problems.

I am an 20year old female. I have not eaten all day and went for a 4 mile walk with my friend that we do everyother day. This is the first time I had what felt like a "heavy chest" It was like I could not get a full breath. It started to hurt in my back as well, right where my lungs are. As the walk progressed it got worse and then one the last mile and a half I felt better.... not normal, just not as much pressure.... What could it be?

I was just wondering how long Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo birth control pills are good for after their expiration date? For example, if the pills expire September 06 and I started them in the 2nd week of September, but it is running over into October....how effective do you think the pills still are? Thanks!! :)

I keep having this dream where a raggedy ann doll is looking through my window at night with a pair of binoculars. She's not looking at me, but looking at my bathroom door. She is also standing on my window sill (shes on the outside) And when I get out of my bed, and look at her she runs away into these bushes into the swamp, and then I wake up, and then the next night I'm afraid to go back to sleep because I'm so afraid of her. What does it mean>? It's scaring me!

If I cover one nostril, I can breathe sufficiently. If I cover the other, then I have a very difficult time breathing.

The weirdest thing is that the blockage alternates nostrils. I don't think I have allergies, I tried nasonex but it doesn't help any more than without it. Should I get my adenoids removed? What other options? What gives???
