If you want to make your stomach flat, then you need to follow a proper exercise, diet schedule and get sufficient sleep. You need to get the right proteins, carbohydrates, fibers and vitamins daily in your diet. There is no magical formula to make the tummy flat; exercise and hard work is the only way to make your tummy flat.
Diet:
· Intake Low carb diet
· Do not consume foods high in sugar content
· If possible do not eat junk food. If you need to eat junk food , consume less
· Eat low fat food and avoid fried foods
· Drink fruit juices and plenty of water
· Eat lots of green leafy vegetable and fruits
Exercise: Jogging is the best exercise to start with. You need to jog for at least 20 minutes before you start doing the tummy exercises. Tummy crunch or sit ups is the best exercise for your stomach. Do the tummy crunch in different variations. The more the repetitions, the more strength for your tummy muscles. Swimming is also a good exercise for the whole body. Some yoga poses also help in strengthening the upper and lower part of the tummy and also increase the flexibility of the stomach muscles.
Sleep: Sleep is a necessity for rest, relaxation and recuperation. You need to get a good sleep, to recharge your muscles after a workout. On an average an adult needs around 8 hours of sleep. If you rest for fewer hours, the risk of becoming overweight increases.

I have read that quite often women hold on to tummy weight because they are stressed. The body stores fat in that region as a response to stress levels so if you can try breathing exercises (sp?) or doing things that you find enjoyable and relaxing (which i realize may be difficult with a new baby!) that might help. Also, I think you should accept and love your new body! I am sure you are beautiful and everyones body changes from the way it looked when they are 16 at some point. I am not saying to quit trying I am just saying love yourself no matter what, eat right, exercise and enjoy your family : ) Everything else will fall in to place!

flatten tummy
After giving birth to your baby, you'd find your tummy not quite what it used to be. Mine was huged and sagged like an empty kangaroo pouch. In fact, long after my baby was born, my tummy stayed huge, hanging out of my waist and freaking out my husband.
Basically after giving birth, you really need to work on your abs. The upper abs are easier to tone, but the lower abs are so stubborn. Sit ups and crunches work on the upper abs, but the paunch remains. For me it did anyway.
The latest workout program from Billy Blanks targets that problem. It works out the abs. In fact, the third workout, mission three, rock solid abs is a complete 28 minute workout that focuses on abs exercises, toning the upper abs, lower abs and your sides to really shape your waist. In the 8 minute bonus video, Billy Blanks trains the guys to get that coveted six-pack while Shellie trains women to get rid of that tummy flab, working especially hard on the lower abs.
I would highly recommend Billy Blanks programme for all moms, especially those with tummy flab

Hmm...what you could do is combine cardio with resistance training ( like using weights), to lose the overall weight. If you want a flatter tummy, you should target the muscle that wraps around your stomach like a girdle (transversus abdominus). You can look for the exercises that target this muscle on fitness websites. Another tip is that one pound of fat=3500 calories. If you don't want to do that, you could always opt for liposuction or a tummy tuck. You can look for plastic surgeons in your area.

I know this sounds dumb because I'm a guy, but do pilates. Just do it, every day. I have a really nice gut because of it. Just ten minutes a day should do it. Abdominal pilates is very good exercise too, because your abs are the core of your body.
