I was a 48 DDD and I know your pain. I was 21 when I got the surgery, and I have to tell you it was the BEST thing I have EVER done! I couldn't believe the difference in the pressure on my sholders, the back pain. I even sleep better now because I had a hard time sleeping on my stomach. It is soo much cooler in the summer time. And I have an easier time buying bra's and clothes because I can fit into more things now. I feel more comfortable with myself too.
You have to be sure that you have a reputible doctor to perform the surgery. Talk to people who have had it done, that really helped me!

As long as you dont go too small, I think someone your size breast could only benefit from a reduction. The stress on your back will most likely be a issue as you get older. At 18 your body is strong enough to deal with it, but as you get older it would be a problem. Clothes would fit easier for you with a reduction and things like doing a sport would be easier. It is not just a case of what looks best for someone in your situation, but what is also best for your body and carting around breasts your size can be a problem. Good luck with whatever you choose to do.

Sounds like you are thinking clearly. I would strongly recommend if you have a plastic surgeon you trust. I encourage breast reduction, with a 44dd. Breast this large can lead and does lead to back problems, shoulder pain, and general joint and muscle discomfort from about the waist up. I have know several women who have chosen breast reduction, when over endowed. None have regret the surgery. Best of luck to you, and thanks for the opportunity to answer your question.

Talk to your doctor first. Get a second opinion. Do as much research as you can before committing to the surgery. I can't see where you would regret something like this, but each person is different. If it means improving your health now and the doctors agree, then go for it.

I don't think you will regret it. i have been a 42dd since i was 16 And I'm 25 now. If you can afford to do it i would. I have really bad back pain. And when i have been pregnant they got even bigger. i could stand to be a full c.
I wish you all the best!!!

DO IT! I did it and once I healed, I never regretted it a day in my life. (I did it 8 years ago). The only minor regret I have is that I didn't go smaller. I love my breasts now -- whereas I used to hate them.

Trust me, you won't regret it.

Isn't it ironic how that women with naturally large breasts want to reduce them and women with small breasts want to enlarge them?
