I have done research on some of the vaccines that we have been injecting into our kids. Some of them contain chemicals that can endanger the lives of our kids. I understand the risks of the childhood deseases that we are trying to prevent, but we need to be better informed on the possible side effects. We also have no idea of what some of the longterm effects are on the newer vaccines.
If a mother is tested for heppititis B and is found negative, why are Dr.s administering a vaccine to newborns for a desease that is only spread by sex, sharing needles, and blood transfusions?
Why is it so hard to locate information about side effects on these vaccines? Because the drug administration stands to gain allot of money.

My mom and dad have been married for 26 yrs. My dad has cheated on my mom in the past, at the beginning of their marriage, and mom knows about that. We believe he has been cheating on her again, maybe for a long time. Anyways, my mom just found out she has herpes because recently she had her first outbreak and went to the doctors. My dad and her talked and he said that he has had it for a long time, when he first cheated on her. Could this be possible, if she never had an outbreak before? Or is he just saying that, because it is easier to admit to something she knows about, then admit to been cheating recently? Can herpes actually stay dormont that long?
Mom wanted me to ask this...!

Just had my wisdom teeth removed a few days ago and try as I might little bit of food still found its way into my lower socket. Its been 2 days so far and besides a little bit of pain everything is fine, I didnt even have to use any pain killers. Anyways my question is how long do you think I should wait until I really go in there and start rinsing my mouth out trying to get that stuff out of there. I rinse very gently every few hours with warm salt water but the stuff is still caught in there. Any suggestions?

My 3 week old son has "gas". Which is gentler and better recommended? Mylicon uses simethicone and Gripe water uses sodium bicarbonate, ginger root, fennel and chamomille. Can any of these ingredients harm my child?

I am experiencing my first period after my baby. It started with dark spotting then, a day or so later, red blood. Now, a lot of blood came out and there was some pink, stringy tissue. Is this normal? Has anyone else had this? Is it a miscarriage?

I started a weight training routine last week, today was my first repeat day, I did incline bench press and flat bench press. I could hardly lift the same amount of weight I did last week and had to drop down a few pounds just to get some decent reps in.

Is this normal? Did I overextend myself the first week?

If I am a happier person after two or three beers, and am also a more social person, does that mean that I have a chemical imbalance?

And I am not an alcoholic, I only drink 10 to 20 beers a month.

It was really boiling. I boiled it myself in a pot (the boil-in-the-bag type) and then poured it into a bowl, but there was a bit left in the bag that I couldn't pour out and didn't want to waste, so I sucked it out of the bag! I must've sucked too hard and fast.

Anyway, the choking wasn't the problem - I coughed it out. The problem is the burn - is it dangerous? I still feel it 1 day later. Should I see a doctor?

Thanks for reading.

I go to the bars atleast 4-5 days out of the week and drink about an 18 pack and a few shots every time. I have a good job and my drinking does not affect my work. In fact, I just started going to the bar with my bosses and they promised me a promotion.. My girlfriend doesn't see it as a problem either but then again she is usually on the stool next to me hammering them down.. I love my life and my job.... Would you consider me an alcoholic??

I have asthma and HBP. I'm currently on ADVAIR, which is not doing much for my symptoms--and I think it's actually harming my bp. Any ideas on what I can take? I'm planning on going to the allergist soon, and want to go armed with info. Thanks.

I'm 17 years old and I've had migranes since I was 14. I've been prescribed imitrex for years and now the effect of it is slowly starting to decrease. The doctor ups the mgs on it but I don't like having to take the pills everytime I get a headache I'd hate to see my liver from all the damage the med has done.....anyway about a month ago he gave me Inderal, I take it three times a day and it's supposed to control my migranes down. So far, it's worked fairly well but I'm not sure I like the effect it has on my body. I feel weak, tired, a bit more depressed that I already was(i've been on lexapro for a while now) and anxious a lot. Has anyone else had this medicine before?

My father has recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer. His PSA level was 6 which is why he had a biopsy done. The 1st Dr. (less experienced) said that his gleason score was 6. He had the slides reviewed by a 2nd Dr. that said his score was actually an 8. Now they want to run tests to see if the cancer has spread to his lymph nodes or bones. My father is only 53 and has always been in good shape (not that cancer cares). The Dr. said that he has a relatively small prostate. Does anyone know what the chances are of the cancer having spread and what treatment options are. I'm just scared and confused and want everything to be OK. My 2 children love their grandfather as well as myself and I just can't believe that this is happening. Anyone in similar situations? What was the outcome?
