If I am a happier person after two or three beers, and am also a more social person, does that mean that I have a chemical imbalance?

And I am not an alcoholic, I only drink 10 to 20 beers a month.

It might. Check out www.hufa.org - the symptoms link, and see if you have any other symptoms of low blood sugar.

On the other hand, you might just be having a normal reaction to alcohol.

Not necessarily. Alcohol has the ability to "loosen" the tongue and help us to relax. One or two beers is a good way to relax.
