I am not used to being an angry person. I am talking to people all angry and my patience is zero. I can not afford to act like this although I do have legitimate things I am working through with a counselor andshe just says to try medication. HELP

I too am an "Anger Ball". I struggle with it every day, as well as anxiety and worry. I was treated with meds last year and got off them due to an insurance change that didn't cover them. I was taking Zoloft and Ativan for anxiety and depression. I was totally feeling like I wanted to get back on them yesterday so I asked my husband if I was any different. He said, "Nope, the only difference is when you're drinking." I'm like, GREAT! Seriously, my advice is not tipping the bottle...hahaha!

I have found that prayer and meditation has helped recently. I start getting angry and anxious and I take a minute and pray and allow God to answer. Pray is when we pray to God and Meditation is when God answers or speaks to us. through doing this I am able to identify the root and why I am so angry...and respond in a healthy manner. Anger is a normal emotion, it the way we handle and react to anger that is the problem.

I understand what your going through! I've always been a very angry person. When I was 14, we figured out that my anger was linked to depression and I started taking anti depressants. I'm alsmost 21 and even with meds, I still have issues. Probably because of inconsistent therapy. I'd give it a try after some research.

There is nothing you can do to control other peoples anger, but for yourself, meditation is the key. This has helped many people with high blood pressure, stress etc. get off there medication. So before you start any prescription drugs just try it and you will be more in control and it will help you deal with angry people.

Good Luck

Check out the symptoms link at www.hufa.org. Excessive anger may be occurring as a result of a low blood sugar episode. If you have other symptoms of low blood sugar, then a fasting blood insulin test and/or fasting 6-hour glucose tolerance test may help.

before you try any medicine, ask what the side affects are. and make sure you continue seeing you're counselor. you're doing all the right things already. just continue down that road.
