It was really boiling. I boiled it myself in a pot (the boil-in-the-bag type) and then poured it into a bowl, but there was a bit left in the bag that I couldn't pour out and didn't want to waste, so I sucked it out of the bag! I must've sucked too hard and fast.

Anyway, the choking wasn't the problem - I coughed it out. The problem is the burn - is it dangerous? I still feel it 1 day later. Should I see a doctor?

Thanks for reading.

It might be a good idea to go have it checked to make sure it did not burn the tissue too severely, but if it is minor, it should heal fairly quickly in a few days. Avoid anything spicy or highly acidic like orange juice while healing to avoid discomfort, and try to think things though a bit harder in the future to avoid this type of situation from reoccurring.

I would say only go to the Dr if it persists for more than a few days. Mouth and throat skin has the best regenerative powers of any body tissue so it should cope ok with hot soup but it's bound to feel sore for a while. Ouch, by the way.

Yes you probably should. They can use a scope to look down your throat and see if it is serious.

You may have aspirated a bit, too. That is when whatever you are choking on goes into your lungs. Best to see a doctor just in case.

i'm an extremely picky sushi eater: the only sushi i admire is Hana Sushi. that is sushi rice wrapped in seaweed and Salmon sliced, crowned with jap mayonaisse and bits of ebiko (tiny prawn eggs). that's the yummiest sushi between all. My husband who's a non-sushi eater loves it too. flavor: it would flavor creamy on your mouth. no longer candy creamy, purely the typical friendly mayonaisse creamy. you additionally can try chicken teriyaki with rice or Unagi Don : Grilled eel with rice. i be attentive to it sounds yucky although that is wealthy of omega oil and it tastes sturdy too. Dont choose a e book by ability of its cover. flavor: the two one in all those dish tastes like the typical candy soya sauce on rice yet lots better unquestionably. Miso soup is a could try. The flavor is very friendly. If u love tasteless facet, decide for california rolls. in the event that they upload some avocado interior the california rolls, it tastes creamy and yummier. Shrimp Tempura: that is in easy terms a gently breaded shrimp (like breaded calamari rings yet this one is total long shrimp). It comes with a soy dippings. this could be a could try ok. have exciting!!

Hey drink lots of cold water for a while like you would put ice on a burn. Unless you just wanted to try and swallow some (small) ice cubes. Follow your gut, but lean toward going when it comes to seeing a doctor.

I dont think so. Because last week, I put my tongue in a steaming, boiling hot chicken soup, and got blisters. It hurt like hell, but now its getting ok. I didnt have any problem. Although it sucks, because it is very uncomfortable
