I am a dental assistant, so I know the behinds the scenes reasons why dentistry is so expensive. I am amazed at the number of people on here who call dentists money hungry and complain about the amount of money that dentists make, but a dentist isn't so bad when that same person has a horrible toothach. Do patients really think that the money they pay a dentist goes directly into their pocket? Do patients not realize that everything that they see in that office, from the drills to the anesthetic down to a single piece of paper, costs money, and that a dentist has to pay for all of this, rent, lab bills, utilities, salaries, malpractice insurance, continueing ed courses, repairs to computers and other equipment, before he pockets a dime of the money patients pay him? I can tell you, if I went to school for 8 years, paid over $300,000 for dental school, and had to deal with the issues that dentists do, I would expect to take home over $1000,000 a year. Wouldn't you?

I have been spotting for 14 days now. It's not much and it is old blood. Any ideas on what is going on? I was worried that I might be pregnant, but I have no symptoms. Haven't done a test either since I have been spotting I thought no worry of being pregnant.

I have a new home with a partially finished basement. I have been sick since I moved in. I am on allergy medicine and 4 injections a week. Has any one else experienced this problem and how did they resolve it. I do have a de humidifier. helps some but not enough. I do not go to the basement.

I'm in the middle of some kind of virus (a little like a cold) right now and just started antiobiotics cuz my mom said to do it and she's a doctor. But is there a thing that immediately clears up sinuses; because I'm sneezing alot, having a really bad runny nose, have pressure in my ears, and there's pressure in the forehead area and itching in my eyes when I bend down or when my head's in a certain position. It's getting hard 2 get some sleep, so plz help. Thanks in advance.

I know someone who is 5'7 and weighs about 103lbs. and she is very insecure and wishes every day that she was thicker. Do you think being 5'7 and 103lbs is too skinny for that height? She is a sophompre in high school? How can I stop feeling insecure?? Besides eat more, cause I eat as much as I can!!

My fitness goal (which i'm starting now) is to be able to run 90 minutes (or jog at a faster pace). I have been having tightness in left pec region. I have had 2 ekgs, a chest xray, and blood test, all of which came back normal.
I have had this tightness in my chest for 10 months now, it is chronic. Every doctor I have seen tells me there is nothing physically wrong with me. They told me to see a phyhcatrist. They make me feel like don't even care. I 'am worried sick about this pain. Does anybody have this, and recommend anything. Thanks:) Amy
