It will only help your health if you're doing it as a prep for a colonoscopy or endoscopy.

If you can't get at it with a washrag and soap, nature didn't intend for you to wash it. No, your colon cleans itself, providing you eat your veggies and the stuff Grandma called roughage. If you eat properly and don't let yourself get constipated, your colon will be a lot healthier than if you let somebody squirt stuff up inside you. Think about it- the system is designed to move stuff out the rear door- not have it squirted in that way. How could that possibly be a healthy thing? You can't absorb nutrients from the large intestine anyway, only water and some medications. And how enjoyable is it to do suppositories?

Under normal circumstances, it's unneccessary and a waste of money and perhaps even unhealthy to do such a thing. There are probably some conditions in which it might help, but I'd talk with my doc first to be on the safe side.

No, it is unnecessary and screws up your body when done regularly. It screws up your body's natural rhythm. It's all hype and they just want your money.

The only exception is if you're having a medical procedure like a colonoscopy where you have to be clear inside.
