It really depends on the person, I know that there are times when I am depressed I eat a lot and gain weight and times where I don't want to eat anything at all and loose a lot of weight. I think it all depends on you really. Go see the doctor they may reccomend something for you to help with the depression and possible weight loss. I was depressed and I went on prozzac and lost 20 lbs. Good luck

Depression can have both a weight loss or a weight gain affect. One way it causes gains if by, as you say, a loss of interest in doing the physical activities that might normally keep your weight balanced.
As for weight loss, because depression can cause you to lose interest in the things that you enjoy, eating, especially when you often combine meals with social activities, can become a chore to the extent you eat less.
Anti-depressant medications CAN cause weight gain -- but that is no reason not to take them. In fact, the increase in activity levels that can come from anti-depressants can easily make up for any weight gain affects.

Yes, those are clear signs of depression and you may end up very unhealthy if you don't start curing your mind. So start with finding the root to the problem and why you're always depressed and drink a slimfast everytime you feel depressed and do 20 push ups everytime you start to feel down. After 3 weeks of depression, you will notice your physical appearance looks alot better and your depression will soon fade. But you have to keep up the workouts.

Depression can be one cause of weight gain. However, depression is more serious then gaining a few pounds because of it. I highly recommend seeing help immediatly about your life.

Yep. Boredom is actually just laziness. There is no reason to be bored because there is *always* something you could be doing. Force yourself to get up and do something, and you may actually find yourself feeling better and wanting to do more.
