Our family is going to undertake a diet and exercise regimine...as a part of that we are all gettiong the equipment and things we are going to need. Me and my brother want us to buy a scale. We see it as a tool of encouragement and measurement of our progress or regress.
My father thinks it is a bad idea because its demoralizing and it is bad for dieting.

What do you guys think? Should we or should we not? It's upto Yahoo Answers..Thanks

Ive heard that placing pennies on the temples of your head cures headaches, and if you've ever tried this, you'd know that they do stay in place without any glue, tape or anything of that sort, and that it works. My question is, why exactly does this happen, and why do they stay in place only if your head actualy hurts?

P.s. it also stays on my forehead, but i dont know if that cures anything.

It was prescribed to me to regulate my menstrual cycle (not as a contraconceptive) but I'm scared to have it for any side effects it might have. Ive ever taken any contraconceptives or hormones before.

I am 25/m/155lbs/5'10" and strength train 3 times a week. I am also very active as a drummer about 4 times a week for 3 hours or better, my heart rate normally doubled during training/drumming. I normally eat 4 times a day plus snacks (higher in protien and carbs) and average about 6-7 hours of sleep a night. Is this enough? I am lean, only 9.8% bf last check. I don't feel bad, but feel that more rest would help with muscle building and stamina. Thoughts? Any reference material or ratios on activity level to required sleep? Thanks in advance.

I got to a highschool in Michigan dubbed the largest in Michigan and third largest in the U.S. "Anchor Bay High School". I walk through the front doors, upstairs, across the school, then walk all the way down stairs and across the school again, then back upstairs and across the school again just for my first three classes carrying a 45 pound backpack. Not to mention, I have 5 minutes to get to my classes; I usually get to each class when the class bell is about to ring in about 30 seconds; so I just make it. Is this a lot of exercise? Add that with walking to the bus stop ( not far ) but then after school walking to the bus ( fairly far ). I don't stop and talk along the way, either.

This is a primitive-type question, as in what were they for originally before technology? Was it merely for grasping, or "clawing" like almost to be used as tools? or is there some other reason..
