No. One day the earth will be consumed by the sun, man will not have gone to the stars so I'd be stuck here as a pile of self-aware dust floating through space. Kind of like now really. Maybe I WOULD take it...

No! eternal life could feel like eternal damnation, by that I mean, I think we can live as long as we can except the trials and tribulations of life, that is in decent health. however life has a way of wearing down systems of the body, and by the time we are getting old, and body & mind change so will the body be stressed, to its limits. however people are living longer and healthier, b/c of technology.. If you could live longer with a majic potion, youre mind might not be able to deal with things you see in that eternal existance, therefore the mind goes, even if the body doesn't.....

Anne Rice's novels deal with creatures who have 'eternal life' ; the vampires seem to bear a heavy burden with their immortality. Rhadames The Damned (The Mummy) is an interesting look at the concept of immortality thru a potion.
I would have to give it some careful thought.

No, but not because of the life span... i'd love to live forever but it would come with celebrity status... for example the current war in Iraq in 200 years time could be a major point in history and id be the only person to have lived it... reporters would be at my door constently, i would have no private life and the biggest problem would be having to live thru generations upon generations of loved ones dying...

Of course I would, these people that are saying that they wouldn't want to see their loved ones growing old and dying are being daft, you're very likely to witness your parents' deaths anyway, and you're always meeting new people and friends throughout your mortal life.
Imagine the knowledge you could gain with eternal life.

No I wouldn't. I would hate to see my family and friends die around me. This is one theme taken up in "Gulliver's Travels", which I suggest you read.
