Yes. In fact that is the most common way it is spread. It can also be spread by sharing drinks, chap stick, lip stick, or even cigarettes with some who has cold sores (herpes simplex virus 1).

I got clinically diagnosed with herpes simplex virus (type 2) about three years back, when I was still attending college and had a mindless one-night stand. I understand a lot of people say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a massive mistake that one time and all of a sudden it seemed like I was going to have to live with the implications for my entire life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date guys again. After all, who wants to go out with a girl who has sores around her private parts? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/sTGLo everything got better.
Not only was I able to eliminate all traces of the hsv from my system in less than 3 weeks, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just last week, in front of everybody in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!!! This system provided the chance to be happy and experience true love again. Now I want to help others by sharing this story.

Oh, yes. In fact most people have oral herpes(Herpes simplex I) by the time they are three, from adults with cold sores kissing and spittling on them. All herpes viruses are extremelly contanious -- Chicken pox is the most contagious disease in the world, and we do not have a vaccine for it. It often erupts again in older adults as shingles. But, hey, herpes is no big deal. Most people don't freak out over a cold sore, and most people don't have cold sores often enough to be debilitated by them. Even genital herpes is no big deal -- a few little sores on occasion in the perianal area. (Herpes simplex II). This one is only troublesome in a pregnant female about to deliver.... the exposure of the birthing child's mucus membranes to the virus can have some rather nasty neurological effect (And there are ways to get around this as well). Helpful???

The herpes simplex virus (HSV) (also known as Cold Sore, Night Fever, or Fever Blister) is a virus that manifests itself in two common viral infections, each marked by painful, watery blisters in the skin or mucous membranes (such as the mouth or lips) or on the genitals. The disease is contagious, particularly during an outbreak, and is incurable with present technology. An infection on the lips is commonly known as a "cold sore" or "fever blister". These are sometimes confused with canker sores or Apthous ulcers which have a similar appearance; these appear inside the mouth and are not caused by the herpes simplex virus.
