If I eat a breakfast that consists of oatmeal (with brown sugar and strawberries), a banana, and orange juice and then go to the gym at noon, I get dizzy and lightheaded. BUT, if I eat a breakfast that consists of bacon and eggs I never get lightheaded at the gym. I know the protein helps but why would I get dizzy if I eat oatmeal, fruit and juice?

I have trouble listening to people when there's noise around, especially to female voices. The noise level can be low (as low as a fan operating) or as high as a crowd of children having lunch (i work at a school), and I still have trouble understanding what people are trying to say. I can hear the noise just fine but it's like the noise takes over my hearing, making it hard to understand whatever anybody else is trying to say. I'm afraid to ask for them to repeat or to talk louder, i'm only 25 after all.

However, I have very sensitive hearing and when all is quiet i can hear the slightest noise. I also have ADD, but it's not really bad, but i have pondered about its possible implications in this problem.

I won't even consider hearing aids because that'd just amplify the background noises as well as the person talking to me, not making anything better at all.

So, which is it, the ADD or a hearing defficiency? Any ideas on how to help it? Thanks!

I have worked the same job for almost 29 years and am changing over to something entirely new. Is surgical tech a very stressful job? I am an animal control deputy now, and am so stressed from it, I have to get away from it. Also is the pay halfway decent?

I have been using the 5-htp, 50mg twice a day, for 4 months.

I take it for the previous substance abuse, to re-gain the serotonin level.

I think I will take this for a while. But first, I need to know about it's long term use.

Can I just take the 5-htp everyday? Or should I take a "medicine holyday" (taking a break for a certain period time) in between?

Is it okay to take the 5-htp for a long time, like some years or even lifetime?

What else should I know about taking the 5-htp?

Thank you.

I am curious to know why people contend that yoga helps with significant weight loss. I have tried yoga, and it did little in the way of weight loss for me. I 'm asking because I think I am in a plateau after losing 45 lbs, and am wanting to work some new things into my workout. What yoga programs are best recommended for this. Any links would be helpful. Thanks.

Not necessarily using ultrasound or CT's but rather actually performing a hands-on operation. Where you would see, for example someone's right atria. This includes throughout residency and years into the field.
