Your shrink would be the best person to anser this, but if you're having problems with anxiety, you should consider stopping the Wellbutrin. I assume you're taking Wellbutrin for depression. If so, think about asking for something like Zoloft, Celexa, or Lexapro instead. They're all in a class of drugs called selective seratonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI), and they address both depression and anxiety. They tend to be "mellowing" antidepressants, where Wellbutrin and Prozac are "activating" antidepressants that can actually make anxiety worse in some folks. If you change over to an SSRI, it will take a month or so before you start seeing the effects. So in the meantime, a good "bridging" drug for anxiety is klonopin. It's in the same class as Xanax, Ativan, Valium, but it's longer-acting and less likely to become a drug of abuse.

Medications effect people differently. Their are a lot of anti-anxiety medications. Your best option is to seek the advice of your doctor. Unfortunately, you may have to take more than one or two before you find the medication that is right for you. I know a lot of people swear by xanax or zoloft. I can not take either. Xanax knocks me out cold and zoloft gives me migraines. My point is that you may experience side effects from medications that other's don't and vice versa. Just don't get discouraged. Trial and error. You will find the one that works for you.

well butrin is good for anxiety as well... i think instead of taking a valium.. you should ride a bike or go for a long walk... getting your body moving really helps because it releases endorphins that actually mellow you out. Chill homie... you'll be ok.
