I'm a writer working on a book to help people who are dealing with chronic illnesses (an illness that you have for a long period of time and that is debilitating to such a degree that it has changed your lifestyle).

If you'd like to give me more data that I can use as research for this book, I have an online survey at http://www.quia.com/sv/86904.html... that I'd appreciate people taking as well as responding to this question.

I want to write a book, from a Christian perspective, that meets the needs of those with chronic illnesses. I myself have had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for 6 years, my mother just had a mild stroke and my father has been going through chemo for cancer. I see a great need for such a book out there and I'd like to be the one to provide it. The more information I get from people who struggle with these kinds of illnesses, the more I can tailor my book to their needs.

Thank you. (Yes, I posted this once before, but am trying it again to get more responses.)

when i stand up quickly from sitting down the room looks dark and fuzzy and i feel like someone is pushing down on my head and i can't think for a few seconds. and sometimes this happens except instead of the room being dark it is like fire works and my body gets so weak i drop to the floor, the longest its lasted is like 5 seconds. Does this happen to everyone. I have never told anyone this. Help!

I was recommended this supplement to try for ADD/OCD-type symptoms, stress, and mood swings, because I refuse to go on any kind of psychoactive medication. He says he used it for 4 or 5 days and noticed a difference in his mood, concentration, and stress level right away. I am inclined to believe him, but it is kind of pricey (still nowhere NEAR as expensive as prescription meds, even with insurance) so I wondered if anyone might have experience with it, to back up his claim, before I spend the money on it. Keep in mind, if it works it would be worth any price to me.

I have never had skin problems until earlier this year. I turned 19 and suddenly in between my inner elbows, and along my forearms and wrists I had a very itchy rash. There were large circles of it and it became very irritated and would spread. I tried otc rash creams but it just would not go away! It lasted for about 2-3 months and finally went away. During this time I was experiencing extreme stress and depression. I heard somewhere that some peoples personality types or their thoughts can contribute to outbreaks of eczema. Does anyone know this to be true or happen to them?

I had lyme disease, a very bad case of lyme disease almost 15 years ago while I was in high school. I had been misdiagnosed for several months, until I was finally treated with IV antibiotics, two different courses over a year in duration total.

I had not had any symtoms I would have attributed to lyme in years, but recently, my joints are really sore and swollen. I am only in my early thirties, and I dont think that this is a normal symptom of aging at this point.

Can lymes lay dormant in the body that long with no symtoms and then return?

My fiance goes from one extreme to the next...one month he will want to have sex all the time...the next month he doesn't want to have sex at all...it varies.

I am pregnant...we had discussed having children and we decided that we would want to have kids...upon finding out that I was pregnant, he told me that he wanted me to have an abortion...two days later he told me that he wanted us to have it...two days later he told me that he wanted to have no kids at all.

He sleeps only about 3-4 hours a night and is fine...he is angry a lot...one week he will be really sweet...the next week he is mean.

His mother has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

He has the "I don't care" attitude towards life.

He was also sexually abused as a child.

He refuses to see a doctor...counselor...psycologist...ect. He gets angry when I ask him about going.

I love him & I want us to work.

What could this be...? What can I do to get him help?
