Tell him about the pain and any other symptom you have been having. In the meantime, exercise is the best thing you can do if you have arthritis. Exercise helps the joints to stay limber. If you stop exercising, you become stiff and eventually you wont's be able tomove. Walking is a great way to keep your hips moving.

Before during and after facts and be honest and upfrount and tell the doctor all the details of the pain, any activites that make it worse/better etc.
If it is gone it may just be temporary or may be in you head partially as far as pain tolerance, it is still there but you may be dealing with the pain differently. Just tell the doctor everything.
