It sounds like orthostatic hypotension. Your body isn't equilibrating once you stand up and your blood pressure drops so you momentarily don't get enough blood flow to your head. Usually caused by hypovolemia (being dehydrated) or can be a side effect of psychiatric medications. Instead of jumping up right away from a lying position, slowly get up. From lying go to sitting, sit there for a bit then slowly stand up.

The bast way to address this issue would be to seek the counsel of your doctor. You could be experiencing orthostatic hypotension, a condition that is caused be an inadequate response on the part of the cardiovascular system to compensate when the body goes from laying down or sitting to a standing position. It may be the halmark, however, of another condition, such as anemia or dehydration.

It would be wise to get the opinion of a physician in the context of a history and physical exam.

Good luck!

This could be serious but also could be a change in your blood pressure from one position to another. Are you eating right? If you are dieting you can cause a low blood sugar count to occur if you are , and yea you get dizzy ,shaky, light headed, and some times pass out . But in reality go to the Dr. ok let a real expert find out what is causing your problem.

We could play guessing games here i/e blood pressure problems, blood sugar problems or reaction from medication. The bottom line; this is not normal and you could hurt yourself or someone else if this happens when you are driving or operating some kind of machinery! Only a Medical Professional can truly diagnose the problem. Good luck!

no it doesn't happen to everyone even tho I'm not a doctor, I'm just 16. but when i get out of bed in the morning and get up too quickly i feel dizzy but it quickly goes away. u might wanna check with your doctor, trust me if its this serious they'll look in there diagnosis book. u could have a mild case of epilepsy, my friend has that, or you might have an imbalance of special hormones or an imbalance of like nerve functions, but tell your doctor and hopefully he/she can see what they can do to help you out. i hope this gets better.

You most likely have low blood pressure! You need to eat more proteins (nutrients) rather the fatty foods or foods with a lot of sugars!! Must see the Doc so you would pass out or hurt your kidneys!!

Sounds like you might be suffering from low blood pressure...I've had that..be careful when you stand up in case you fall..I moved a glass coffee table away from my chair for a while so that I wouldn't fall into it.....but you really should see a doctor about this.

If it happens every time you get up quickly, try getting up slowly and see if it still happens. If yes, then definitely see a doctor. If it only happens when you get up quickly, then you should at least discuss it with you doctor at your next appointment or with a nurse if you don't see your doctor regularly.

You should see a chiropractor. it sounds like a problem in the blood flow and a chiroprator can adjust things like that. your sitting and standing for long periods of time can cause a pinch or something in a nerve. i hope you can get this taken care of.
