They can be popped and have puss in them. They keep coming back no matter what i do. If left alone they get bigger and the doctors dont know what is causing them or what they are.

Sounds like you have folliculitis. It's a staph infection that affects your hair follicles.

An antibiotic will clear it up.

Have the doctor's done a biopsy? Scraping? Have you been to a dermatologist?

Disclaimer: non-professional advice:

It sounds like an allergic reaction or perhaps acne. I would stop using any kind of shampoo for a while and just use distilled water that you can buy at the grocer and the balls of your fingers (not your fingernails) like they do at salons. Oily hair isn't going to kill you for a week until you find-out if you are allergic to your shampoo.

In any event -- I would use an all natural shampoo with no toxins and multi-spectrum healing properties. If you're interested I know a company that specializes in these kinds of products. E-mail me if you're interested or want more info.

Be careful and keep seeking medical advice -- a natropathic doctor is another option if you aren't getting anywhere with mainstream medicine.... here's my e-mail addy: i_have_1_of_each@yahoo.com

I hope you feel better -- and STOP picking at it!!!

Change to a shampoo that has selenium in it (don't know a brand, but probably is a dandruff shampoo). If that works, then the problem might be a yeast infestation.

For basic information on the systemic yeast syndrome, check out the link on the Welcome page of www.hufa.org.

You said that the "doctors" can't help you. Have you been to a dermatologist? I'd like to think that someone would try to medicate you or something until they figure out what the problem is.

I think I'd try changing my shampoo first...As well as any other product you use regularly on your hair....It could be an allergy. Best wishes.
