well it all depends on what kind of diet you eat, if u eat a non healthy diet like mcdonalds or go out to eat all the time, then cut back on the junk and eat salads and more fruit and veggis. eat healthy for awhile if you dont. if that doesnt work consult your doctor and see if it is family related, if it isnt then ask him or her what he or she thinks you should do. if that doesnt work consult a nutritionist. i did and im losing weight eating healthy, i eat a lot of organic foods, im only 16. i got my blood tested everythings fine, i have to watch cuz both sides of my family have diabetes and do exercise that helped me. hope this helps u.

Eat no refined sugar or sweety foods or drinks.
Watch how much fruit you eat or fruit juice you drink. They are high in sugar as well.
Reduce the amount of carbohydrates you eat.
I don't know how high your blood sugar is or if it is high enough to make you a diabetic, but some diabetics can reduce or regulate sugar levels with medication other than insulin.

There is something called a "glycemic index" which determines the rate that glucose (simple sugar) is released in the body -- eat higher glycemic index foods and it should help.
Also, keep a food journal to see where you are getting so much sugar -- it's on every package/soda can/beer bottle/etc. -- under carbohydrates.
Hope this helps!
