I am so worried now about the numbness which also cause a little bit pain 2 weeks after my hernia surgery.
What is happening?
Any expert willing to answer my question?
I went to visit my dr the 1st week after the surgery and he told me that it will disappear after few months. And he acted like nothing.. I am feeling angry that, he was like after the surgery, i'm none of his business.
He only asked me back to visit him for once.Which is the 3rd day after the surgery. Everything i that asked him during that visit, he told me that it's normal.

have had surgery twice now in 10 years for carpel tunnel and cubital tunnel. Was told that they surgery would last for about 5 years and it is so true. The symtoms did come back 5 years to the day, had surgery again on my hand and then elbow and now its just about 5 years again and Im starting to feel symtoms again in my right hand and elbow. I was wondering will this "feeling" keep coming back every 5 years for the rest of my life? Will I constantly need surgery every 5 years?

My boyfriend was drinking so much in 2003, he ended up in the hospital in organ failure. He was in ICU for 31 days. He had pancreatic damage and now is a bad diabetic. He stopped drinking after this for about 2 1/2 yrs and last fall his daughter, her alcoholic husband and 2 little kids moved in and he started drinking with them. He thought he could control the drinking, but it has gotten out of hand. He is not a mean drunk, or abusive or sloppy, He is the kindest, sweetest person I have ever met. He is very good to me and I am soooo worried about this. I never see him drink, but know he is doing it because I can smell it on him when he sleeps, and he sweats it.
I am afraid he will die, and I will be left without my heart and soul. I have tried to talk to him about his drinking and he agrees it is a problem.
I never drink with him, but what can you do? He cannot see the light. Daughters family has moved out. She said "he would have started drinking anyways"

I've seen so many people, male and female who have abusive partners that make them miserable. I know that perhaps part of the reason is that the partner has shredded their self esteem so much, but it is so frustrating to watch this happen to those you care about. If you are/were in an abusive relationship what makes/made you stay? If you left, how did you get out?

I've gotten alot of advice on this from previous ?'s, but feel the answers were general and not applying to me.

I get the point of needing to get life in order, but I didn't like myself even when it was in order. or when in better physical, financial, etc shape. So I know doing that won't get me to like myself, it'll merely remove more years from my life just to get me back here.

So, how does one like themselves. I respect what I spiritually, even if such a mix of multiple faiths makes me isolate from others. My problem is of the few interestts i've had (hiking, chatting, video games, and meditation, they're all solo activities). I can't seem to find one that involves contact with other persons. I have explored hundreds of ideas that involve others, but find it replusive.

I guess in the end I get tired of hearing the same advice which hasn't helped and which only removes more time from life. I don't wanta be 5-15 yrs older and still at same point. It's just a lost life

I get excrutiating pains in my legs when I am sitting or laying in bed...mostly at night. ...as if my legs are being pulled off my body.I hzd a road accident about 2 years ago and though I have told doctors and consultants about this and ambulance crew have witnessed it no one has done anything about it. What can it be. I would rather die than keep going through that pain.

Went camping last weekend with the husband and kids..now I'm riddled with poison ivy. I have several spots on my arms, on the back of my knees, on my legs, on my face a couple places. I've always got poison ivy and always treated it with nettle juice but it doesn't seem to be working to well this time. It's just spreading man..driving me nuts! Calamine has never worked for me either..anyone havea any good ideas?
