I don't even take pain medications. I am starting counseling, but I'm so depressed, I'm having trouble taking the least care of myself. I get so mad at myself for my lack of motivation, and that doesn't help me. I've run out of ideas and energy to get going.

I'm partly afraid of anti-depressants because I know there are legitimate problems in my life that I need to deal with. I do want to deal with the pain and not just mask it - and I do feel tempted to do just that - medicate and run.

What's anti-depressant is easiest on the kidneys? Is there anything that is easy to taper off of as I deal with the pain behind my depression?

I have asthma and I've had kidney stones since I had a series of hysterosalpingiograms a few years ago. That also caused a lot of edema and pain from inflammation. So I'd need to avoid anything that would exacerbate those conditions.

I know I need to see my doctor (she's wanted me to take meds for a while) but I'd like to know what's safe.

Every time I have my period I get really constipated. During the summer I am not worried, but I am afraid I will feel this at school and have to leave early. Is there some over-the-counter medicine I can take to prevent this. I also work a job and can't afford to take off. Is there any advice you can offer me on this? I really need your help. Thanks in advance. You guys are great!

i know dieticians and health experts say that you have to eat regularly, like 5 to 6 small meals a day.

and they say if you starve yourself that it makes your body hold onto fat.
but if you look at anorexics, they are really skinny because they don't eat.
so what is the real truth?

I have a tingling sensation on the entire left side of my body (including arm, face, leg). Never on the right side. It feels exactly like goosebumps, but the skin is not raised, and it is not present on the right side at all. It started more than a month ago and was fairly infrequent, now it is almost constant. When it first started I lost some coordination on the left side, but that doesnt really happen anymore(I have had hip/knee surgery in the past so I walk rather stiffly to begin with). I've been trying to wait it out and see if it goes away, but now I am getting worried as its getting worse. I'm 24, avg height, weight, health. Any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

even if you lost 20lbs in 3 weeks that doesnt mean your healthy.. i always thought the point to loosing weight was to try to be healtheir..if its just so you can say its a smaller number then what it used to be then what is the point in loosing?..i would rather see the scale go up knowing that i am eating healthy and gaining muscle then getting skinny super fast...and does any one else ever wonder why people wonna loose and tone up problem areas in 10 days!....thats a unrealistic time frame to even attempt ta do anythang about it then...even if your in pretty good shape it could take up to a month or more to see improvment..the truth is weight loss and physical phitness is not something you can do over night it takes grit, sweat, sacrafice and commitment to take off the pounds and fix your body....no pill or miracle diet is gonna do that for you...they wont make you stronger, healthier, or even tone up your body!..im not trying to be mean just statin' facts...now who agrees with me?:)

I recently got pushed really hard into cement and i did something to my rotator cuff in my left shoulder. It wasnt broken but i had to go to the hospital and wear a sling for 2 weeks. It doesn't hurt anymore but I'm finding it harder and harder to control my fingers and my entire arm is numb.. especially the fingers. I'm kind of worried as it seems to be getting worse. Is it the nerves just repairing and will it get better or should i get this checked out?
