The simple answer to this question is... yes! The only thing at all you have to worry about is back problems from doing deadlifts and squats with improper form. At your age you are probably producing more testosterone then you ever will once you pass age 20. As long as you work out smart, not necessarily hard you will be good. By smart I mean good form in your excercises, proper diet, and knowing what excercises to do. It's too bad more people your age aren't working out.
Some tips: Well... eat protein, protein, and more protein. At least your bodyweight in pounds worth in grams of protein. Work all muscles so that you are well proportioned and don't have huge arms with a small chest etc.
Good Luck! (Your not going to be shorter. actually it can make you taller!)

Certainly. Children as young as seven are encouraged to work out now-days. There are programs at such places as the YMCA for teens to workout. High schools have all types of sports programs where the athletes have to work out really hard. Where did you get the idea that you could not? Diet and genes have much more to do with height that weight or not you life a few weights at the gym.

I would like to know where you got this information from...? If you decide to work-out (I assume you mean weight lifting) be sure to balance that with a healthy diet - high in protein for what you're going for - and regular cardio work-outs such as running.
My step-mother and her friends are all health gurus.. many have degrees on the subject, and I have never heard this. Could be someone is yanking your chain.

You can workout. Just do a mild weight lifting. My brother and cousin are 14&15 and we all just started working out together. I just make sure that they are not doing to much when using the weight machine, because it may stunt your growth.

It is definitely okay to work out at 15, and no it will not stunt your growth unless you are on types of steroids.

WORKING OUT WILL HELP YOU GROW!!!
Don't just lift bars and do bench press, do lat pull, stretch your legs, and you will grow!!!
At this age, you are developing, so any workout is GOOD!!
Especially cardiovascular--- swimming + running.
DO BASKETBALL too, it helps to stimulate the knee area growth plate.
LIKE YOU, I WANNA BE TALL!!!
^_^ Good luck.
