say sausages, or mince, or chicken. Why eat bacon substitute if they don't like real bacon? I am not being cheeky, just wondered. If I was a veggie, I would make the Eiffel Tower, San Fran Bridge or Nelly the Elephant for a laugh, and it wouldn't remind me of dead things.

My best friend, who is vegan, bought an antibacterial soap. I told her this was imoral because it is excess killing of a living thing. She disagreed and I got mad. I told her she cannot be vegan with those types of thoughts. Also, I suspect that the packaging may contain animal byproducts. Should I tell her to buzz off? I am so spitting mad right now.

...she has created about three or four (or maybe more) alter-egos! pmsl
And the FUNNIEST bit is, I ONLY noticed, as she was the only one who agreed with herself, when answering one of her own fictitious questions!
This is the funniest thing I have seen in ages!
I wont be answering anymore Ashley questions....however funny they are!
Oh, sorry, this isn't a question, is it? And I wouldn't want reported by numerous Ashleys, soooo, erm.....my question IS....
How many Ashleys have you spotted?!?! lol

Oh, oh, I forgot....I am asking this question here, as I am a vegetarian ;-)

Im a vegitarian, but I want to get a snake. The only problem is that I would have to feed it mice. If I got the snake, would I be going against all that I believe in. Do you think its ok for me to get a snake, even tho I have to feed it live mice.

Should I get it or not?

My neighbor, who is a moral vegan, had a dream that she ate a steak. She now wants me to protest her dreams while she sleeps. I said that that is ridiculous and she told me I was immoral if I didn’t do it.

Am I really immoral if I don’t protest her dreams?

Does anyone know why people are so negative and hateful in the V&V section? I just think all this negativity is not serving anyone. It doesn't represent what the vegetarian/vegan lifestyle is all about. I am a caring person who loves animals and I want to live a cruelty-free lifestyle. It really bothers me when I see vegans attacking others simply because they believe different than you. What we eat is a personal choice and we should respect others who eat differently than us.

The fallout of a nuclear detonation? Our troops are in an area where some desperate terrorists would not hesitate to use a nuclear devise, if available.
Again, the question asked slightly different, has there been any study about a / any 'certain' foods, being good to rid the human body of radiation?

I just discovered an article on this--the practice of eating only foods that can be harvested without killing the actual organism. The fruit--FRUITarianism.
You can have things like nuts, seeded foods and milk.
I was wondering:
Can you get all of your daily needs from a practice such as this?

Meat evangelists, do you go in the Spirits and Wine section and answer "AA" to every question? Do you go to the Non-Alcoholic Drinks section and suggest "a shot of vodka" in each glass?
Or is meat your only calling? Should it be spelled with a capital M?
What am I missing about the meat evangelist mindset?

A vegetarian can consume as much cake, cookies, pie and ice cream as they please. That's not healthy. A vegetarian can consume processed foods along with all of those desserts mentioned. That's not healthy.

How can anyone say that vegetarians are healthier than meaters without any other details whatsoever? Where do you get such information?

I am asking because I have a friend of mine who does that. She is a vegeterian strictly fo health/dietary reasons and only likes certain types of meat but mostly consumes non-meat food. Very rarely, only for celebrations or holidays she chooses to eat a meat dinner which is maybe 4 or 5 times per year.

Are some vegeterians like this? I was wondering if she is one of a few who does this and if there are other vegeterians who will rarely eat meat?

Basically I've wanted to go vegetarian for a while. My parents refuse to let me do it. They think I'm crazy and won't let me get anything with soy in the title. They make me eat meat. Preferably in the long run I'd like to go vegan, but I'm having a hard enough time getting them to accept vegetarianism. I've taken out numerous books about vegetarian nutrition and benefits for my parents to read, but they're still not convinced. Advice?

My mother was given a dvd to view on how bad our meat is in our country. Now she will not eat or buy any type of meat unless she can get it directly from a farmers market or its 100% natural from the super market.
Is there anything I can do to counter this move by mother.
