Interesting. Can you eat grains like wheat or oats? I'm not sure how they're harvested or processed. It seems very limited.

Yes, I believe you can meet all your needs from a fruitarian diet, however I think a regular raw diet offers a much broader choice of foods and would be easier and more pleasant to stick with. I just couldn't handle not having salads and those would be a no-no on a fruitarian diet.
Some vegetables are fruits - the name can be deceiving. The only thing off the list would be things that kill the plant by picking them or vegetables like salad that ARE the plant itself. That leaves a lot of options still open.
I just think a fruitarian diet would be hard to stick to for the long term, whereas a regular raw diet is something that I feel confident I could one day make a lifelong choice and not get bored.
Anyway, you daily needs are vitamins, proteins, calories, and fats. You can get all those by eating fruits/fruit vegetables, and nuts and seeds. Milk is not allowed on a fruitarian diet, but but milks are!
Do some googling. Raw diets are awesome. You just have to be careful to do them right. Any diet (not just a weight-loss diet, but the food you eat every day - that kind of diet) should be done right - educate yourself!

Firstly you can't have milk,
Fruitarianism is more hardcore than veganism, if you destroy the plant in the process then its not allowed and any animal product is not allowed too. Picking fruit is ok as it does not harm the plant in such a way, but uprooting a plant to get at the vegetables is not allowed. Unless your very skilled in diet knowledge I would be very careful about going on fruitarian diet for long periods as it can do more harm than good. It is not suitable for babies or growing kids.

There is an entire branch of veganism that eats like this, here is a great website to learn more about it:
http://www.fruitarian.com/
I personally tried a raw fruitarian diet and found it too restricting; it is very possible for it to be a balanced diet but I missed all the good stuff I had before I switched...

yes definately! i was one for quite awhile. dont ask me why i stopped bc heck i dont know. one day i will be one again. but you have to do it the right way or you can harm yourself. make sure you eat enough and make sure you eat plenty of nuts and seeds for healthy fats. i've never heard of drinking milk in the fruitarian diet but you can have coconut milk if thats what your talking about. go to eat.rawfood.com and look at the forums and see what you can find about it.
its the best diet out there!

I have seen the statement you have, but not studied the "Diet".
I find if I don't Balance my sugar(yes even fruit) with other non-sweet foods I get wonky~ no that is not a medical term ;-} .
I know it does not include Milk or dairy of any kind. If you are interested in something like this but more Balanced go RAW.

And you could also, I'm guessing, have eggs, once touted as nature's perfect food. I think it is a great approach, much better than vegan, that ruins so much land and pollutes local areas with pesticides.
This is a very interesting question and I am giving you a star.
