this question is for vegetarians and vegans
i was wondering why vegetarians and vegans believe that avoiding animal meat helps the animals. in nature, animals higher on the food chain eat animals lower on the food chain. thus, is it not natural for humans, who are at the upper end of the food chain, to eat other animals? are vegetarians/vegans against the raising and processing methods of the animals? so would they eat animal meat if the animals it were "naturally" raised or "organic"?
this question is not to offend anyone in any way. just wondering.

As we know leather comes from skin of dead animals. When person don't eat meat of dead animal why one should use the product like wallet, shoes, belt which is made by skin of the dead animals? that should be such a hippocrate for this person.
So do agree that use of leather goods is OK for vegetarian or a vegetarian person should avoid of use of leather.
If so, why?

I mean, I don't go into the other food sections and make statements about how animals are full of piss and shxt and blood and how gross it must be to put that stuff in your mouth. And while I haven't checked, I'd be willing to bet that no other vegans post rude comments in those sections either. So why do so many meat eaters seem to get some kind of perverse joy out of picking on vegetable eaters?

Well, I'm a vegetarian, and it's getting sickening having to only eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch at school because no one as requested vegetarian meals. My principal isn't really open to new things such as especially changing the lunch menu for 1 person (as in me). I really wish that the school would serve meat-free meals often with regard for those vegetarians. I don't think it's fair that while the lunch-ladies serve meat while all I can eat is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich while other non-vegetarian students can enjoy their more than boring lunches. I need suggestions on how to convince my principal to serve vegetarian meals at lunch and I have an idea. I round up facts about being a vegetarian, such as the benefits and why it isn't fair that I am stuck with the same lunch everyday. Does anyone have any other ideas? I need some by Monday when I go back. Thanks a bunch!

Do you all not adorn your bodies with leather or suede. If you do then are you a true vegetarian? I like veggies too!!! But you have to add some kind of meat into your diet. To each his/her own. If you people dont eat meat than its more for us !!!

Hi, I became a vegetarian around 2-3 months ago (14yrs old) and I was exposed to People for the Ethnical Treatment of Animals about 3-4 months ago. I've learned that some people hate PETA but I highly respect PETA. Now, I would just like to ask some PETA members or PETA lovers a few questions:
1. What got you into joining PETA?
2. What do you enjoy about PETA?
3. Have you been in a protest before? If so, what for?
4. Are you part of the PETA2 street team?
5. What do you do to spread the word about animal cruetly with the help of PETA?

thank you so much for taking your time to answer my questions.

please....you people who are thinking about posting rude answers, think twice.

I thought not ! That would be tantum out of killing them and could kill someone with servere anaphalaxis!! Most of you are decent people and would not be so cruel! Why then would some of you in other answers suggest giving meat to a vegetarian or a vegan, shoving it down their throat or telling them it is soya ?
This is akin to poisening (and if you are in America this person or even worse their grieving family would sue you for like a bazillion dollars - FACT !!!!)

I want to make homemade noodles- lacto-ovo vegetarian friendly- that only requires items commonly found in the common kitchen. For example: eggs, flour, water, etc.

Thanks!!!

I will just be minding my own business when family or friends start making fun of me or tell me to start eating meat again. I usually just don't say anything. Should I continue being quiet and reserved about this or should I ask them to leave me alone? They laugh at me which I don't think is nice to do.
