Drinking milk kind of grosses me out for some reason, so I don't drink it. (I still take vitamin D from a pill) I still eat eggs, too. And also I don't eat pork. It's kind of bad for you. I eat vegtables (sp?) and fruits all the time. And bcuz I don't drink milk, I drink water w/ my lunch @ school, and sometimes I'll also drink it w/ my breakfast. I walk around the block a couple times a week during the spring and summer, and during the fall and winter I pretty much rely (sp?) on gym class for my exercise since it gets really cold in the winter where I live. What foods do I have 2 cut out of my diet so I can stick to this? (the only thing I can think of that has milk in that I'll eat is probably like Pop-Tarts, and I hardly ever eat those). And also, what kind of exercises can I do indoors during the winter?

we've all heard horror stories over the last 6 months in this forum about Vegan diets, with vague comments about medical journals and pale-faced relatives.

Just how many articles would you expect to find on the internet if all this were true ?

I notice we now been given just ONE article written on a personal webpage that has no valid medical or authorative validation to it.

Searching for the author of the original article it seems he and his wife are deluded individuals who actually didn't follow a vegan diet anyway.

I also note that the parts of the original article that points to 85% of people improving thier health on a Vegan diet seems to have mysteriously been edited out.

I was believeing so much of what we've been told about the Vegan diet, and how its unhealthy and a threat to our lives. Now it turns out its all this quoting of medical journals is just bollocks and a Vegan diet is actually very healthy for 85% of people.

Some people seem totally unable to read and review internet sources correctly, and quote snippets just to try and make a point whereas all they are doing is showing themselves up as deluded inbalanced timewasters

whereas if they read the whole site they quoted they would realise that the person they cite is barking mad and shouldn't be trusted.

I mean, would you really cite someone as a valuable source of information regarding a Vegan diet if the same person was also in the market of selling "cat purr" and "EarthRain" Meditation CD"s

The list of crap is endless:

Ignore the artical on Vegan diets, is so biased its laughable.

I was flabbergasted when I read this article online revealing some known truths about the dangers associated with a vegan diet. This article is living proof that you need animal products in your diet to be healthy.

#1 - I like to eat meat. How can I stop this habit?
#2 - What can I and can't I eat?
#3 - What do I do if there's a lot of temptation?
#4 - How can I tell my mom that I want to be a vegetarian?

Only serious answers please!

What are your favorite vegetarian main dishes that have high protein? Do you have a favorite "fake" meat, such as garden burgers? Do you reccommend any brands of these fake meats? Please post any of your recipes or comments, I've only been a vegetarian for six months, but I'd like to widen my variety of foods.
