I mean how can you have a "burger"--that's consistent with a complete vegitarian diet? Isn't it still a MEAT?????

To Rani:
Ohhhhh the spite "heard" in the answer to my question...LOL!
I asked the question...because I honeslty didn't know the answer to the question.
I am NOT vegan at all...but am thinking about it now.
In the grocery stores...I completely overlook the vegetarian sections. Honestly, I never even knew they existed.
You ask where have I been for the past 10 years? I've been living a regular omnivorous diet...just like my family and peers. If you ask them the same thing--they probably wouldn't know either.
Just because something is common to YOU...it may not be common to someone else (HELLOOOOO--where have YOUUUUU been???)
And with reference to me thinking that a hamburger had "ham" in it.......
If I had NEVER had a hamburger before in MY LIFE...and was hearing about it for the VERY FIRST TIME....I would definitely assume that a hamburger included ham in it. But because I was cultured in the USA...I know this is not the case.
Thanks Rani!

No.I have those every time I can. Taste awesome. However, you must put some spices on the top.I do that before put the burgers in the micro. Then I add some saute ( with olive oil) onion, bell pepper, fresh garlic and fresh tomatoes. The cheese a very strong one.Swiss or provolone.

Where have you been living the past 10 years or so?
Go into the frozen food section of your grocery store. There will be about 10 or more varieties and brands of veggie burgers. Or go into any natural foods store or restaurant. Try one.
So what's a hamburger???? Does it contain ham???

It's only called a burger because its shaped like a patty. Its composed of vegitarian products like soy and other vegetables. So, no its not still a meat. =]

No, it's not meat.
The pattie is shaped from mixtures of grain and spices.
Some times they add mushrooms and other tasty tidbits.
It's only called a 'burger' because it is shaped into a pattie, and you can eat/serve it instead of a meat burger.

Check it out.

Its a patty that you can assemble like a burger but the patty is made of all vegetarian components (soy, mushrooms and other veggies, sometimes cheese)
Yummy.
