Lets all keep in mind that evil begets evil as the good book says. Today's society is creating a monster in itself. I personally know a friend that was the most quiet and reserved person in school, had good parents, and always treated everybody with respect. His problem was he always wanted to talk of growing up, marrying, and raising his own family. Well he fell in love with the wrong woman, she used him, delivered his baby, and then all the while was using him to better herself to leave him, take away his child, and today's judicial and law system sucks for fathers. I slowly seen my friend turn hateful and spiteful with a hate for the world. I tried to help him, but everything kept beating him down. I caught my friend 2 years later alone with his cat, mistreating his cat. It broke my heart to see the poor kitten, and I didn't know what to do. I took the kitten away, found it a good home. I then found help for my friend. So lets remember the saying ... WWJD. So in short, lets keep an open mind first, then if the person is pure evil without cause and effect, then action must be taken. Do a part, do our part, and try to solve, not judge, nor assume. If America could change some of its red tape bullshit, and quit passing people around as just name, number, and social security number, this place would be a great place to live. Unfortunatley this is not so. So lets make the best of this place, and help first.

It sucks. But you need to keep your chin up. Don't get so raped up in it that you burn out, many people do that fight for animal rights. Realize that the fight for animal rights is one that will very possibly last long after your gone.
@ Andy:
The CCF is an industry front group for animal exploiters. They are funded by meat, dairy, and pharmaceutical companies. They are the Peta of the animal exploitation industry. Anyone worth half a brain that spends more then 10 minutes on one of their many sites quickly comes to the realization that they exist to protect corporate profits, not consumers. No one takes them seriously anymore do they?

It's a horrible world we live in. When I was 9 and first read some Peta literature I felt the same way, and it drove me crazy. I used to spend hours writing letters to companies, etc, just using that passion to try and help the situation. You should try to go vegan if you haven't already- completely disassociate yourself from that industry. And join Peta, do all that you can, and I promise you will sleep easier.

Peta is nothing more than a propaganda site, little of what it says is actually true, and most is at least exaggerated, if not utter fallacy.
Really, they cannot be trusted.

As for those videos, the same is true. What they show is undoubtedly horrific, but it isn't, contrary to Peta's claims, standard practice and generally quite illegal.
Edit: Yea, I have to admit, I'd trust those sites about as much as Peta, they're just as full of crap. I mean, with headlines like 'Peta is a bunch of losers' you aren't really going to take them seriously.
I worked that out when I first saw CCF and PetaHatesAnimals, but the reason I still post them is that most of the basic facts behind their articles, albeit the way they show them is often shameful, hold out. Peta do hold demonstrations outside schools, and the like, and frankly it's easier to link to a site dedicated to hating Peta than a dozen or so singular news articles which say these things in a more reputable manner.

I am a member of PETA, ASPCA, and the peta2 Street Team. I have done countless actions for animals and am constantly doing action alerts and online petitions. I work very hard as an advocate for animal rights. I'm a vegan as well.

Unfortunately , most people turn a blind eye. I hate the cruelty too but people blot it all out to eat meat. That is one thing. Even worse some of them willingly wear fur knowing exactly what is involved. They'd cry buckets if someone treat humans like that (so would I)!

I don't hate omnivores, they eat animal and animal products because they don't know what happens to these animals. Somewhere in the PETA store, there's a bumper sticker that says something like, "If slaughterhouses had windows, everyone would be vegetarian." People have NOOOOO idea what kind of sad, filth-infested, unsanitary, inhumane conditions that egg-laying chickens live and die in. They don't know that 20% of chickens raised for meat are alive when they get dipped in the scalding bath. They don't know that sows are kept immobile while they're pregnant and also while they suckle. They don't know that cows feel the horror when their baby veal calfs are kidnapped from them. People just .
People who look at the PETA videos and aren't moved, now those people I don't care for. Sometimes they're the ones you love, at least I think. I've forwarded links to PETA videos to my sister, who continues to eat meat and dairy, but I believe she just won't look at the videos. I believe she deletes these emails. She doesn't wanna look 'cause she doesn't wanna believe 'cause 1) she loves meat & cheese, and 2) she doesn't want the guilt. Head, sand, bury, hide, easy route.
Now, as for those who exploit animals for food, entertainment, testing, or anything else, I wish upon them all the treatment they force the animals to suffer through. I don't wish death, oh noooo. I wish upon these monsters (calling them "animals" is an undeserving compliment) all the heat, cold, infection, fever, exhaustion, severe beatings, brandings, live feather/fur scaldings, live flayings, sleep deprivation, extreme fear, emotional torment from watching fellow creatures being abused/killed, isolation, emotional torment from being separated from one's child/mother, filth from living in their own sh*t/piss, humiliation from having to "perform" for the audience, the SHEER FRIGHT of the mere sound of a tormenter's voice, all the loneliness, all the helplessness, all suffering of every kind that they inflict upon these helpless, innocent, beautiful animals.
All animals are beautiful, even pigs. I mean, have you the calendars featuring cute little pigglie wigglies? Come on, how can you not fall in love with that! Omg, last night I could't resist. Now the calendar is hanging in my bathroom where I'll be sure to see it, and to fall in love with the piggies every time I see them. HOPEFULLY, my sister will see and it will pull at her heartstrings.
If you hate the abuse, get involved. I've just joined PETA and am awaiting more information in the mail on how to do SOMETHING to get active for animals.

Yes, and if anything bugs me MORE, it's that law enforcement won't DO anything about it! They've proven that in MANY cases, young people (teens & young adults, even children) who abuse animals, grow up to do the same to humans. Even most of the serial killers started out torturing animals. NICE HUH? So if the link is as strong as they say it is... WHY don't our law enforcement agencies crack down on these creeps harder?!?! When you DO report some moron for abusing an animal, even IF anyone actually comes out to investigate, there is rarely any penalty.

You obviously hate around 75% of the world's population then. I hate cruelty too but if these videoa disturb you so much, do either one of two things. Stop watching them or join PETA or similar and do something about it. Every single person that comes forward to help makes a difference you know!
