So i was thinking of making one but does the rice and other cooked items stay warm? Or would I be eating a cold lunch. I've seen that they sometimes wrap the box in cloth and i was wondering if that helped it stay warm or something.

Are there any recipes that don't use confectioner's sugar? I just made cutout Christmas cookies, but when I looked in the pantry, there was no confectioner's sugar! What should I do? Does anyone have any recipes that don't need confectioner's sugar? Thanks in advance! :) ♥

The recipe says to broil three inches from the heat for five minutes per side, but every time I do this my house fills with smoke. Is there a trick to it? (We don't have an outside grill, so this is not an option.)

I'm baking sugar cookies right now and the recipe says 1 cup of butter. that seems like waaay to much because 1 cup of butter is equal to 2 sticks right? If i reduce the butter will it mess up the cookies?

I had some leftover turkey breast meat and I added some chopped onions, celery and carrots. I can't decide what to add at this point. Here are some options I'm considering...
(1) Should I add an egg and make a glorified egg drop soup?
(2) Throw in some dumplings for a Southern twist?
(3) Add some rice or noodles?
(4) How about some curry spice?

Any ideas?

I was in the shower thinking about how I could make my scratch cakes lighter. My kids love the lightness of box cake mixes, but I just like to make things from scratch. Then it occured to me that I always add water to box recipes, but never to scratch recipes. So i am wondering if I added water to my scratch recipes if I would get that lighter texture my kids love? If water is not the answer, let me know what is Thanks!
