Regular sized M & M please. My Mom use to make a recipe when I was young and I LOVED it--it had alot of butter in it I recall (No Shortening)...I've looked everywhere & can't find it and she has since misplaced her recipe...HELP!!!

Try www.cooks.com and use their search box. If anyone has it, they do. This site is a compilation of recipes sent in by real people who use them, not by chefs from a test kitchen. It's like everyone's church cookbook, all put together! They have a ton of the old favorites.

just listen up with recipe for you!
1 cup butter or shortening
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 3/4 cups M&M'S® Chocolate Mini Baking Bits (reserve 1/2 cup for decorating)




Heat oven to 375°F. Beat sugars and butter (or shortening) until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Mix well. Stir in 1-3/4 cup M&M'S® Chocolate Mini Baking Bits. Drop dough by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Press several additional M&M'S® Chocolate Mini Baking Bits into each cookie. Bake for 9-12 minutes or until golden brown.

MAKES ABOUT 5 DOZEN 2 1/2 INCH COOKIES.

INGREDIENTS

* 2 cups butter, softened
* 1 1/2 cups white sugar
* 4 egg yolks
* 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
* 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
* 1/2 teaspoon salt

DIRECTIONS

1. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Beat in the yolks one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour and salt; stir into the creamed mixture. Shape dough into logs about 2 inches in diameter. Wrap in waxed paper and refrigerate or freeze until firm.
2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Unwrap rolls. You can roll the logs in nuts or sprinkles before slicing. Slice into 3/8 inch wide slices. Place slices 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Do not brown. Remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
