Does this sound like it?

TUNA NOODLE CASSEROLE

6 ounces Noodles, dry
10 ounces Tuna, canned, drained
3 ounces Mushrooms, fresh, sliced
1 Tablespoon Butter
2 Tablespoons Pimentos, diced
1 3/4 cups Sour cream
1/2 cup Milk
Salt & pepper to taste

1/2 cup Bread crumbs
1/2 cup Parmesan, grated
1 ounce Butter

Cook noodles. Drain. Melt one Tablespoon of butter and cook the mushrooms until soft. Mix together the tuna, pimentos, mushrooms, sour cream, and milk. Check the seasonings. Melt one ounce butter, remove from the heat, and toss in the crumbs and Parmesan. Add the noodles to a lightly oiled, medium-sized casserole dish. Top with the tuna mixture. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mix on top. Bake at 350 for 35- 45 minutes or until slightly brown and bubbly.

I have a Betty Crocker paperback recipe book from 1986 (originally printed in 1969) that has this recipe:

Creamy Tuna Casserole:

8 oz uncooked noodles
1 can (12.5 oz) tuna, drained
1 can (4 oz) sliced mushrooms, drained
1 jar (2 oz) sliced pimientos, drained
1 1/2 cups sour cream
3/4 cup milk
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 Tbsp margerine or butter, melted
snipped parsley

Cook noodles as directed and drain. Mix noodles, tuna, mushrooms, pimientos, sour cream, milk, salt and pepper in 2 quart casserole. Mix bread crumbs, cheese, and margerine or butter and sprinkle over tuna mixture. Bake uncovered at 350 until hot and bubbly (35 to 40 mins). Sprinkle with parsely.

Hope this helps! Buon appetite!
