If you microwave a baked potato but find that it’s still a bit hard when done (but still soft enough to actually cut open and eat) then should you cook it for another minute or so? My brother says that it’s bad for you to eat them when still partly firm but I’ve done it before and never felt weird.

So as a thankyou, and as they are all curry mad and love Indian food, I said I'd cook them an Indian feast
I'm making a huge vat (15lb of meat) of hot beef curry, a huge vat of medium strength lamb and coconut curry and a huge vat of mild korma style chicken curry, baghis - 3 types, aubergine, onion and mushroom varieties, tandoori prawns, pakora's, naan breads and roti, boiled basmati rice and pilau rice. Raita, (yoghurt and cucumber with fresh coriander) various pickles and not forgetting cases of ice cold beer and lager, wine boxes for the ladies if they want, fruit juice, and for dessert, lemon cheesecake or mango kulfi (ice cream) Have I forgotten anything?

I'm 14 and I've been aching for beer since my dad let me have a sip of his once. But I don't know how to get it, I can't steel one from my dad, he keeps close tabs on how many beers there are in the house. Also they are all in his room. Can anyone help me?

if it wasn't for becoming a full blown atheist a few years ago i don't think i would ever have been able to open my mind up to veganisim.

in reading into the creationist/evolution debate i also learned alot about how the world works and how everything came about... This set some solid foundations for me realising that the exploitation of animals who are seemingly not as evolved as us, can't be justified.

"in a world older and more complete than ours, they move finished, and complete."

I was wondering how other peoples religiouse beleifs influence them on the subject of veg*nisim...

someone touched on this in a question the other day... For me my veganisim helps cement my pro choice stance on abortion.

I don't think life, human life in particular is sacred and so i would weigh things up with suffering. I see no moral obligation in dragging a child with no catlaloge of experiances, hopes or memories into a world and family that mite not want it, just because it is human and should be given life.

If there was more suffering in having the child, if lives were wrecked etc... i would just as soon see the child aborted if that was the parents choice.

It wasn't until i became vegan that my opinion on this matter became clear....

What about you? How does your veg*nisim effect your stance on this political hot potato?

Just wanted to share some of my favorite reasons for why it's okay to torture animals and eat them.

*God said so. (Since he was right when it came to owning slaves and denying women the vote, he must be the ultimate moral authority on this too!)
*They were put here for us to eat. (So I could say you were put here for me to butt rape and it'd be all good? Yay!)
*Animals kill each other all the time in the wild for survival. (Because of course, this is somehow comparable to the practices of modern factory farming.)
*Vegetarian lifestyles are unhealthy. (If you ignore the millions of people who have been vegetarian since birth outliving our fast-food gorging nation and the millions of obese carnivores fighting diabetes and heart disease, I suppose.)
*Where do you get your protein? (These people really think protein is more prevalent in Big Macs than in vegetables and fruits! Way to research!)
*MM! Burger! (No comment. Just pity.)

Any veg(etari)ans want to share your favorites?

I am looking to open a club that will feature live music six nights a week. Serving liquor opens a whole host of issues. I would start out with beer, a decent variety, and see how it goes at first but would the absence of liquor related drinks keep you away? My thinking is that this is not just a bar but a music hall type of establishment.

Which places in Metro Manila can you recommend for beginners? Where abroad can a lady be accepted for work? Can a lady bartender be accepted on luxury ships?

It makes the best bread!

You usually have to share the starter dough with someone. WELL it had to start from somewhere.

Does anyone know the recipe for the starter???

Thank you in advance.

Im having a get together with people from work to celebrate my 21st (which was actually a week ago). My fiancee and I Just split and he moved out, so I have half the furniture I used to, but Im trying to make do. I dont have an exact number of people that are coming, it could be anywhere from 5 people to 25.. I dont have a bunch of money to spend on alcohol, but Im willing to spend what I need to.
Suggetions on what to buy?
What drinking games to play?
Do i need anything besides alcohol, some munchies, music, good lighting, and friends?

Any suggestions, drinking game rules, websites, etc are appreciated.

Does anyone out there know where I can get a really good veggie burger or a recipe on how to make one? The one that I made called for oats, carrots, bellpepper, garlic, onion. kidney beans, and ketchup and blend it all together. It tasted terrible.I'm trying out a few vegetarian recipes as I decide to go vegetarian . Even though my veggie burger recipe (found on the internet) did not turn out so well I do not want to give up on it because I hear that they taste really good. So please if anyone knows how or where to get a good veggie burger please let me know. Thanks

For those who don't eat rice as a staple diet, I'm sure that some of you do have a difference in preparing them... eg. sweetened milk rice with cinnamon, etc.

Anything you'd like to share?

Am looking for a great recipe to try for making pancakes from scratch that will result in light and fluffy pancakes.
I always make them from scratch and they turn out well, but would like them to be a bit lighter?
What's your favourite recipe for pancakes?
