Don't know if there's an expiration date.
Threw the box away, before I noticed how easily the yolks broke, and how flat the yolks were.

Carefully lower your eggs into fresh cold water (do not use salted water) using a spoon:

* If the egg stay at the bottom - it is fresh.
* If the egg is at an angle on the bottom - it is still fresh and good to eat.
* If the egg stands on its pointed end at the bottom - it is still safe to eat but best used for baking and making hard-cooked eggs.
* If the egg float - they're stale and best discarded.

Well, no need to bother with all that put them in a bowl of water-if it's bad, you'll know right away (remember the rotten goose egg in Charlotte's Web?).
Otherwise, just as you say-the yolks break easily and are flatter and the egg will not taste as good as fresh. Probably not worth eating given how cheap eggs are, but not harmful.

How old? A week or so expiration is not too bad if kept properly. Make hard boiled eggs. Older eggs are the best for hard boiling, because the membran has pulled from the shell and they peel easier.
So the danger is if you are eating an old cracked egg undercooked or raw. You should not feed them to young children or someone with a weaken immune system. Unless you like Salominella...

Float the eggs in a bowl of water. If they float, throw them out. If they don't, they're fine.
