My husbands best friend and his girlfriend recently moved into town. They've been together 7 months and still find wet towels on the floor "adorably forgetful" She loves to invite us over and cook fancy meals and then quiz us on it as we try to enjoy "Is it good? no really, don't lie, is it really good or just okay? how good is it? do you like it? You can tell me" And when we tell her yes we like it she gives me the HA! I'm a better woman than you look. Gah! Its uber annoying. SO. I've decided to make the meal to end all meals and shut her up once and for all. Last night she made chicken fettuccine Alfredo, some kind of nasty spinach bread and mud pie. So someone give me a few things that will knock the socks of these guys! And something involving boneless skinless chicken breasts is even better because I have a bag of them in the freezer! Thanks to all who help me in my quest to dominate lol

I'm a bit useless in the kitchen and want to learn how to cook. I'm not looking for a qualification really, I just want to be able to cook better at home not become a chef. I'm happy workin in IT.

Central London or North London would suit me. Monday nights best (but suggestions would be good right now).
I've seen a few college courses that run for a year (and have already started), but these seem more geared towards people wanting to work with food. I want to develop a hobby really, a year seems like a big commitment plus their price tags....

Suggestions? Thanks!

I was reading another question on here about someone who can't get through their day without coffee. People were saying that if you quit you will notice a big difference in your metabolism plus other benefits. I am a loyal Mountain Dew drinker and have to have it every morning or else I don't feel right. I know I am addicted to the caffeine and I can't imagine ever being able to successfully quit. My question is, how do you make it through the withdrawal period and suffer through those headaches in order to get un-addicted to caffeine?

I just switched my shampoo/condition (dove), and my soap (caress), to sauve. Saving money, and better for animals. I have a problem though, I still use dove deoderant. Does anyone know any brands that don't test on animals? Would Secret be okay?

Hello there my Yahoo friends. How are you doing today?
I remember when I was a kid and could not wait to go
to McDonalds. It came to my town in 1984. And has
been big ever since. I have a favorite meal there. Which
is the double quarter pounder with bacon and cheese,
large fries, choclate chip cookies, apple pie, and a
vanilla milk shake. And then I might go back and get a
McChicken, too. Simple. But still the best tasting
sandwhiches in the restaurant. Since day one. Do you
have a favorite McDonalds meal ? Best answer wins.

I'm doing an assignment for the child care course I'm doing.

This assignment is on making a menu for a child with specific cultural requirements,in relation to food.

All the little Chinese and Indian kids at work eat regular Aussie food, and we don't have kids from other cultures, so I don't know what cultures have specific dietary requirements.

My question is do you know any cultures that have specific dietary requirements?

and

What sort of foods would you feed toddlers from this particular culture?
