Stoli or Absolute. Is grain or potato base more purified?

The only available potato based vodka you will find in the us is Chopin. As far as one Vodka being more pure then another is different story. Vodka itself is kind of a contradiction. The idea is to have it as smooth as possible by distilling it multiple times. The problem is that the more you distill a Vodka the less taste it has. Finding a balance is the key to taste and purity. Just because a Vodka is double and or tripple distilled does not mean it is more pure or will taste any better. Absolute and stoli are low in the ranks when it comes to a great tasting Vodka and Grey Goose is not that great but they have a great pr team to make you think it is. Some brands I recomend would be.

Chopin
Kettle One
Pravda
Imperial

From a scientific point of view can not. But I know in practice that it is. I am Russian, I drink vodka. Sometimes a lot. Especially interesting is the fact that for example in the mountains or on the shore of Lake Baikal vodka does not intoxicated. You can drink vodka for several days and signs of a hangover will not. Why I do not know. But it is a fact overlooked by not only me.

Look for a vodka that is made purely from potatoes and nothing else, smooth and no hangover.

Grey goose and belvedere are actually the best quality in Europe, not so wellknown as smirnoff, absolut or eristoff, but with a tremendous popularity for vodka lovers.
In tasting belvedere as a pepper taste that gave it a nice flavour compared to Grey goose.

I dont know, but to avoid hangovers, eat SOMETHING before you go to bed, and when you wake up @ like 3-4 am, feeling all dried out, chug a big glass of water.

it's all about how many times the vodka is distilled. I prefer Sunshine vodka from Vermont. It is organic.
