I am having pot luck lunch with my sunday bible class people at my home this sunday. They are all senior white Americans. I am planning to prepare - 1) Pilaf rice 2) Curry pork 3) Fried chow mien.

Hey i need a chocolate chip cookie recipe that makes nice flat and chewy cookies.
i want them to look like the first picture, NOT the second picture:

see how the second picture is fat and crunchy looking and the first ones are flat and chewy looking? i want the chewy looking ones. also, i need the recipe to be home tested. i dont want one that you havent used before cuzz i need to know that they work out the way that i want them to. thanks.

I did as a similar question a day or two ago but I really didn't focus on the scallops a whole lot. I bought these at the local grociery store they were frozen and I'm just not sure are they like shrimp? Do they need to be cleaned a certain way? How long should they be cooked for? I know a million and once questions I just want to be sure I go about this right, and why is it best they are marinated in milk and do they need to be thawed out completely before beginning the marinade, about how long should they sit in the milk for, shortest time possible I guess? Thanks everyone.

I am having a housewarming party and all of the parents are bringing their kids. There should be about 15 kids at the party when all is said and done. I have the space but no table to put all of these kids at...any ideas for a cheap, simple table and chairs for a lot of kids??

I always use the recipe on the can of pumpkin and it seems to call for too much evaporated milk. When I mix it, it splatters everywhere and is so runny. The pie always comes out tasting great, but I hate the mess. What would happen if I cut back the amount of evap. milk it calls for?

I am anemic. Even though I am on iron tablet supplements, I crave the white corn powder of cornstarch. I realize that there is some iron in the starch, probably not enough to help nutritional wise, but I am really fond of the white powder. I eat it by the spoonfuls and have tried to cut back from about 10 spoonfuls to 5 daily. Is there any harm in this habit? I've been with this habit for about 2 1/2 months.
