All liquors use the same technique. To distill Gin is the same process as distilling any liquor at its most basic level. The difference comes in the ingredients you use, such as juniper berry. Many Gin distillers use other herbs to flavor their Gin but the main difference between Vodka and Gin is the Juniper berry, without it you are not making Gin you are making Vodka.
