nah, it's probably because the lukewarm feeling is nasty. though it's just a preference and culture.

Most people like water cold, since it comes out of the tap mostly and is room temperature. I think you're less likely to taste the flouride and chlorine and all the other stuff when it's cold.

Because we're Americans, and we can. We invented the ice maker, and thanks to Dr. Gorrie, air conditioning. We like to be cool and comfortable, and that is why I am thankful I live in the United States of America, as I have access to all of it.

maybe because people dont like their water luke warm or even room tempature. plus it makes it look fancy. just like a lemon slice or a straw or even the type of glass its in.

We like our drinks chilled. Tap water is too warm for us. We are amazed that you drink beer that isn't chilled.
