same cookie recipe, yet at times comes out too gooey?

I multiply this chocolate cookie recipe X8 (that probably doesn't matter).
I've been making this same recipe for 1 year. It's always been the right consistency. Yet last 2X it just came out too mushy. (Actually, same thing happened one other time a month ago)

Theories: 1)I packed the brown sugar too much
2)The weather was too hot or muggy

"West Side Story" as a party theme...?

Jamie Foxx was on Conan O'Brien or some late-night talk show last night. Foxx's 40th birthday was coming up, and he was throwing a party with the theme "New Jack City", his favorite movie. Well, "West Side Story" is my favorite musical and movie. My 50th birthday was last December, and though I haven't had the big party yet, I'm still thinking of doing it.

So...with a "West Side Story" the theme, how would you handle the party: food and cake, decorations, clothing, music, etc.?

On being a vegan?

Whats the point? Chickens have to lay unfertilized eggs, and Cows have to be milked or they get very cranky. These things are produced by the animal without any unnatural sufffering to the animal. Therefore to argue animal rights in this matter, is slightly twisting the truth... again whats the point and wheres the Justification for being a vegan?

does milk and doughnuts go good together?

i bought a lemon jelly filled doughnut the other day, then realized that i had a math and anatomy test. so i just came home and made me some eggs and toast then when to school since i run at 5:30 in the morning and the sugar makes me so hyper i can't focus on the test. anyways i was wanting to know if dunking a jelly filled doughnut, or an apple fritter, or a bearclaw in skim milk would be any good, i don't do coffee and i dont know if chocolate milk and dunking would go well since it's lemon flavored.. as well as apple, and whatever bearclaws have in them i never had either of these and don't know how bad this will mess with me also some tips on balancing my diet the rest of the day would also be helpful since.. i bought the doughnuts and do not want them to waste or for me to waste my money
